Q:   How is the AILET score and percentile/rank calculated?

A:
Hi there, The process of calculation of rank is very simple as it depends on the marks you obtained in the AILET exam. Each question carries 1 mark and makes it a total of 150 marks. Now, the candidate scoring the topmost marks are given the ranks accordingly. Also the no. of seats make the ranks as well. The seats are also reserved and thus seats have to be distributed accordingly. Also, there may be candidates scoring same marks thus they share the same rank jointly. Also the exam is taken only for NLU Delhi thus there is no preference list as such and the candidates are given the seats based on their ranks. Also, a candidate leaving the seat shall make a vacancy for the waitlisted candidates. AiLET initially releases the provisional allotment list and waitlist. Apart from this, there is no formula as to calculate the ranks. Your marks define your rank and seat at NLU Delhi.

Q:   Can a student study for 1 month and get a good score in AILET?

A:

It is possible for a student to prepare for AILET in one month and score well, but it depends on various factors such as the student's aptitude, previous knowledge of the topics, dedication, and hard work. If a student is already familiar with the basics and has a good understanding of the exam pattern and syllabus, then one month can be enough time to revise and practice. However, if a student is starting from scratch, one month may not be enough to cover all the topics and practice enough. In such cases, it is recommended that the student follows a structured study plan, focusing on the important topics and sections of the exam, and devotes enough time for practice and revision. In summary, while one month may not be enough time for everyone to prepare for the AILET it is possible to achieve a good score with focused and consistent effort.

Q:   What is the difference between AILET scorecard and AILET merit list?

A:

Candidates must note that all participating institutes in AILET will release a separate category-specific cutoffs for every course they offer. The AILET Cutoff 2024 mentions the ranks of the candidates who are eligible for admission to the college. However, it does not releases the marks scored by the candidates. But, the higher the score, the better is the rank.

AILET cut-off 2024 will depend on various factors such as the total number of candidates, seat intake, the difficulty level of the exam, the category of the aspirant, and the performance of the candidate. In case the difficulty level of the exam is high then the cut-off marks and score are expected to go down.

Q:   How is NLU Delhi different from other National Law Universities?

A:

Even though NLU Delhi is a National Law University but it is not a part of the Consortium of NLUs, which raises the obvious question 'how is it different than other NLUs? . All the NLUs in India have been granted the status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Thus, there is no major difference in the courses offered at NLU Delhi as compared to the other National Law Universities. Moreover, NLU Delhi is built on the five-year integrated law degree model as proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India (BCI)
