TANCET results will host the actual score of the candidate so that he/she can analyse the individual performance. Whereas, TANCET scorecard will not have actual score. With percentile score in the TANCET scorecard, candidates will be able to display his/her relative performance. This would help in evaluating performance of the candidate in comparison to the other test takers.

Typically, Anna University releases the TANCET scorecard a week after the declaration of the TANCET results. Candidates need to download the TANCET scorecard to participate in the further admission processes; however, TANCET results need not be saved for future references.

TANCET counselling process commences soon after the scorecard download window is closed. Typically, the counselling process for TANCET MBA admission commences within a month of the scorecard download window close date. In the past exam session, i.e. TANCET 2023 counselling, TANCET scorecard download window was closed on May 20 and the counselling process commenced on June 1. Yes, it is easy to get high scores in TANCET exam to meet the cutoff scores. All what needs to be done is hard work. Every exam is easy or tough based on the overall preparation. The TANCET question pattern is simple if compared with other MBA entrance exams including, CAT XAT CMAT etc. TANCET MBA has five sections with 20 marks for each section. Additionally, all the sections have equal number of questions. The sections appearing in TANCET MBA exam include:

• Section 1 - Business Situations
• Section 2 - Reading Comprehension
• Section 3 - Quantitative Ability
• Section 4 - Data Sufficiency
• Section 5 English Usage

Candidates preparing as per the TANCET exam pattern and syllabus will not face any issues to meet the TANCET cutoff rank/scores.

TANCET exam includes an additional section for Business Situation analysis. Candidates who have prepared for CAT exams section, including DILR, VARC, and QA, need a minimal study plan to prepare for TANCET. TANCET exam is considered moderate in terms of difficulty. For MBA exams, the difficulty standards is typically compared with the CAT exam. In comparison with the CAT difficulty level, TANCET is considered easy to crack. This is because the total number of test takers is less if compared to CAT exam, additionally, the difficulty level of the questions asked is easier than the CAT exam.

TANCET exam is conducted across 15 cities in Tamil Nadu. These cities include:

Candidates need to choose one exam city while filling the TANCET application form. Anna University allocates an exam centre within the preferred city or a centre the nearest to the city chosen by the applicant.

Duration of the TANCET exam is two hours. Candidates need to answers as many as 100 questions within 120 minutes. Therefore, for each question, candidates have more than one minute to land at an answers. TANCET exam duration is not divided into sections. Candidates can proceed to answers questions from any section from the TANCET exam. Candidates must aim to answers each question in TANCET exam within one minute. If the test take is able to answers questions within one minute, he/she will have 20 minutes spare. With spare time after answering all questions, candidates can go through their answers for the last time to know if they made any error.

Since the exam will have negative marking, candidates must avoid guessing answers of the questions in TANCET exam. Leaving a question will be a smarter move than tempting questions in haste.

Anna University conducts TANCET exam in an offline mode. The offline centre based exam has objective type questions to be answered on an OMR sheet. OMR or Optical Mark Recognition sheet acknowledges human-created marks on a specially printed paper. OMR sheets are commonly used in surveys, exams, etc.

Anna University evaluates the responses by all the candidates using the OMR device which scans the sheet after reflecting a light. The OMR device looks at the contrasting reflectivity of the light at certain positions on the form. Shaded areas on the form will reflect less light. Therefore, the shaded blocks are detected as the response from the test-taker.

TANCET exam does not have any descriptive type questions. All the questions in the TANCET question paper are objective type questions, also known as Multiple Choice Questions. Anna University design the TANCET test paper to ask questions with four answers options. Out of these four options, one answers is correct, while other three answers are incorrect. Candidates have to choose the right answers to fetch 1 mark. For every incorrect response, candidates will get a education of 1/3 marks. All 100 questions in the TANCET exam are objective type.

As per the TANCET exam pattern, the exam has five sections compiling 100 questions. The total duration to answers all these 100 MCQs is 120 minutes. It is up to the test take to decide how much time he/she should allocate to each section. Since there is no pre-define sectional time limit, candidates can over across questions as well as sections. The syllabus for the TANCET MCA exam can be classified into three sections, which are as follows:

1. Quantitative Aptitude includes questions on the Number System the HCF LCM, percentages, ratios, averages, linear equations, logarithms, series, and progressions, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, time, speed, and distance, mixtures and allegations, quadratic equations, the binomial theorem, Statistics and indices, functions, and inequalities are among the topics covered in this section. 
2. Analytical and Logical Reasoning: In this section, selections, coding and decoding, direction sense, blood relations, linear and circular arrangements, series, analogies, decision-making, binary logic, syllogisms, and puzzles are covered.
3. Computer Awareness: Questions are asked regarding the background of computers, memory, computer organisation, input-output tools, computer hardware, controls, basic terminology, internet and protocol knowledge, network fundamentals, computer abbreviations, security tools, shortcuts, and computer algorithms.

Anna University releases TANCET answers keys in two phase. Initially, the provisional answers key is released. Immediately after released of the TANCET provisional answers key, candidates can file objections against the answers. To raise objections, candidates need to send an email to the TANCET secretary. Soon after the objection windows is close, Anna University releases the final answers key of TANCET exam. The final answers key is used to calculate the score of the candidates. Soon after the final answers key is released, Anna University releases the TANCET results.

Anna University releases both provisional answers key and final answers keys in an online mode. Candidates can access the answers keys of TANCET exam by visiting the official exam website. The TANCET login portals helps candidates accessing the answers keys. Candidates need to enter the login credentials, created at the time of registration, to access the TANCET login portals to check the answers keys. Email ID and password will act as the login credentials to check the TANCET answers keys online. No other mode is allowed for released of the TANCET answers keys. Request from candidates for an offline PDF display of the TANCET answers keys will not be entertain.

Yes. Anna University released the TANCET final answer keys in the previous session; therefore, it will be released in the upcoming exam session as well. In the past, Anna University did not release the answer keys for TANCET exam. However, with the TANCET 2023 exam session Anna University facilitated a login link to check the TANCET answer keys. Candidates had to login using the email ID and password to check the answer keys. Additionally, candidates were allowed to submit the suggestions against the TANCET answer keys. Based on these suggestions, a final answer key has been prepared to evaluate the performance.

1st Step: Visit the official website of the TANCET exam

2nd Step: Click on the tab for TANCET answers keys

3rd Step: Enter the login credentials, including the email ID and password

4th Step: Enter the security key displayed on the login portals

5th Step: Click on the 'Login' button to view the answers key PDF from the dashboard

The process to check both provisional and final answers keys remains the same. The direct link to check the TANCET answers keys will be available on shiksha's TANCET answers key webpage.

TANCET 2023 exam for MBA and MCA courses was conducted on March 25, whereas CEETA PG 2023 was conducted on March 26. However, the results were released using a common login window on the same day. Similar to the previous exam sessions, Anna University will declare the results for all professional courses via a single login portal. The official website will host the login window to check the scores of TANCET and CEETA PG. Candidates need to enter the login credentials, including the email ID and password to check the TANCET results.

TANCET scores are valid for a period of one year. Candidates aspiring for admission in 2024-25 exam session can only use the TANCET 2024 scores for admission. Candidates who wish for an MBA Admission in any of the TANCET participating colleges in 2025-26 batch must appear for TANCET 2025. Irrespective of the 2024 score, DTE Tamil Nadu will not consider the TANCET 2024 scores for 2025 admission. Similarly, candidates planning to apply for MBA Admission in 2025-26 batch, must apply for the TANCET 2025 exam.

Anna University releases the TANCET results within a month of the exam date. In the past session, Anna University released the TANCET 2023 results on April 14 for the exam that was conducted on March 25. Candidates are able to check the TANCET results on the official website.
