No, you will not require giving the exam of CMAT for the course of mass communication and journalism from Gujarat University. The CMAT is basically an entrance examination that can be cleared by students who want to undergo an MBA course from one of the B schools. For courses in mass communication and journalism, the entrance examination is mostly conducted by Gujarat University or through some other process.

This depends upon various factors after getting admission to the Heritage Institute of Management and Communication for its Master of Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) program. The institute, normally, demands each such candidate to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum percentage. Normally, admissions are provided solely based on entrance exams or even interviews held by the institute. While qualifying criteria are comparable, competition may differ. Students are advised to prepare well for entrance tests and interviews for entry to the MJMC.

Yes, it can be worthwhile as it can provide advanced skills, specialised knowledge, and potentially better career opportunities in journalism. Moreover,  You want to specialize in a specific area of journalism (data,  investigative,  etc.). You need advanced skills for competitive media roles or research careers. Plus, you lack practical experience from your Bachelor's and want to gain it before entering the job market.
