94,115 candidates appeared in the examination, of which 42,101 were girls and 52,014 were boys.
The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has released the results of the MP Excellent School and MP Model School Entrance Exam year 2023-24 which was conducted through the State Open School Education Board in the state on April 3.
Director of the board Prabhat Raj Tiwari said that 94 thousand 115 candidates of the state appeared in this examination, of which 42 thousand 101 applications were made by girl students and 52 thousand 14 were boys.
A total of 37 thousand 163 candidates including 21 thousand 77 boys and 16 thousand 86 girls have passed the examination.
A total of 10 thousand 127 students, including 5 thousand 804 boys and 4 thousand 323 girls, have been selected in excellent schools among the candidates who passed the selection test. At the same time, a total of 11 thousand 68 students, including 6 thousand 227 boys and 4 thousand 841 girls, have been selected for model schools. Tiwari told that the students who have passed the selection test but could not be selected, such students have been kept on the waiting list.
He informed that a total of 44 thousand 240 candidates, including 23 thousand 683 boys and 20 thousand 557 girls, have failed the selection test, while a total of 12 thousand 712 students, including 7 thousand 254 boys and 5 thousand 458 girls, have remained absent in the selection test.
On the other hand, Pragya Jaiswal of Sidhi has scored 84 marks, Mohit Kushwaha of Katni has scored 84 marks and Prateek Sethia of Katni has been leading in model school selection across the state by scoring 83 marks. Tiwari said that students can check their exam results on the official website of State Open School Education Board www.mpsos.nic.in.
