#cancelboardexams2022: The All India JEE-NEET Students Association (AIJNSA) of India has backed board students demanding internal assessment for board exams. The students’ union has sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging the authority to conduct an internal assessment for CBSE, NIOS, ICSE, and all state boards. The letter states that in the last two years, given that the quality of education was not up to the mark, internal assessment is the best option to grade students.

Cancel Board Exams amid COVID-19 surge
While students across the nation have been demanding online board exams for the last few weeks, students in the North are now raising concerns aggressively with a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases.
Talking about the spike in the COVID positive cases, the letter states that students located in Delhi, NCR, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh are at risk of being infected, and at least for that reason they be allowed internal assessment.
Choose internal assessment over external exams
Stating that as Mah SSC HSC board exams 2022, NIOS 10th 12th exams and some boards for other states are ongoing or finished, students had no ‘abridge’ in the syllabus. The letter further said that schools have completed their entire syllabus via online mode. The letter adds that students in Maharashtra had also reported malpractices across exam centers – hence keeping these factors in mind, it is only fair that internal assessment is chosen over external exams.
