Jadavpur University Placements 2022: Nine engineering students bag INR 1Crore jobs

Nearly 50 students received job offers with a salary of INR 40 lakhs per annum. Over a hundred companies participated in the recruitment drive this year.

Jadavpur University Placements 2022: Jadavpur University (JU) witnessed the best placement season this year. Nine students from various engineering departments bagged overseas jobs with over INR 1 Crore pay package. According to the institute, the international offers have been made to Debarshi Maitra, Kush Mishra from production engineering, Ritwik Raj, Rupayan Ghosh from information technology, Satyam Kumar, Shubham Kumar Mondal from computer science and engineering and Chiradeep Dey, Satyaki Das and Saikat Chakraborty from electronics and telecommunication engineering.

JU Placements 2022: Highest package received from Google

Google made the highest package offer of a whopping INR 1.4 crore to Debarshi. Despite the ongoing pandemic situation, the institute managed to bag overwhelming international offers. Its the first time after the pandemic students have got international offers with such high packages from Edinburgh, Madrid, London, Dublin and Berlin. Debarshi will join work in September. Expressing excitement over the job offer, Debarshi said, "It has always been my dream job. I want to thank my family and teachers.” Debarshi has also got an INR 1.1 crore job offer from Amazon.

Chiradeep Dey from the fourth-year electronics and telecommunication engineering department has bagged job offer from Amazon with a remuneration INR Rs 1.1 crore. Dey will join his workplace in Dublin in September.

Meanwhile, Lakshya Bengani, a fourth-year IT student has received the best package in India.  Lakshya has received INR 65 lakh offer from Apple. He will join his position in Hyderabad in July. Aritra Samanta from computer science has also bagged an Apple job.

Talking about the job offers received by students this recruitment season, Samita Bhattacharya, placement officer at JU told TOI that the quality of placement this year has been really good. Even core engineering sectors like mechanical, civil and chemical have got lucrative packages.

Nearly 50 students received job offers with a salary of INR 40 lakhs per annum. Many have got double and triple offers. Over a hundred companies participated in the recruitment drive this year.
