Ayurvedic doctors are protectors of Indian Culture: Indologist Jeffrey Armstrong

Renowned Indologist, writer and Ayurvedic Astrologer Jeffrey Armstrong visited the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) on Monday. He received a warm welcome at the institute.

Praising the facilities present at All India Institute of Ayurveda Jeffrey said the institution is a priced possession of India and added that maintaining a zero mortality rate even during the disastrous Covid wave was nothing less than a miracle.

He also compared the Ayurvedic practitioners and doctors of the institute to White Blood Cells for safeguarding Indian culture and traditional medicines.

During his visit, the institute also witnessed the launch of a book named ‘The Bhagwad Gita Comes Alive’. The book, penned by Jeffrey is an effort to translate the messages given by Shri Krishna in an effective manner, without the use of ‘colonised English’.

Professor (Dr) Tanuja Manoj Nesari, Director at AIIA welcomed him at the institute and said that she is happy that he is now a part of the extended family of All India Institute of Ayurveda.

“The institution has served more than 15 lakh patients and is expanding its capabilities to serve them better,” she added.

"We are extremely grateful to @JeffreyVASA for blessing & inspiring #AIIA family with his motivational speech on BhagvadGita & Ayurveda during his visit at #AIIA. We thank him for appreciating relentless AIIA's work for humanity. Thank you @iccr_hq & @moayush for this opportunity," reads the tweet by Dr Tanuja.
