JAIN University, Government of Guyana to Offer Scholarships For Guyanese Students; Check Details

JAIN Group of Institutions to invest US$1.2 million as start-up support under Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) to promote a sense of entrepreneurship among the students.

JAIN Group of Institutions (JGI) has announced a collaboration with the Government of Guyana to offer scholarships to Guyanese students. With an investment of US$1.2 million, JAIN University will support start-up businesses for the Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) Initiative for graduate students. The fund generation is a part of JAIN University’s start-up incubation programme to promote entrepreneurship skills among the students. 

JAIN University, in collaboration with the Government of Guyana, will offer scholarships for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees to Guyanese students through the GOAL programme. The GOAL is an initiative where 11 renowned universities worldwide have partnered to enhance educational opportunities and entrepreneurial ventures for Guyanese students. Further, JAIN University will send its faculty team and professors to GOAL to help them develop start-up ideas.

Dr. Roychand, Chancellor of Jain University, praised the vision of the government of Guyana for education. He emphasised the importance of applying knowledge to create profitable ventures. 

"On behalf of India and JAIN University, I pledge US$1.2 million for incubation for start-ups for the GOAL students, who want to start a business. Students can start small and grow into 10-million, 20-million, or 30-million-dollar companies. They can export ideas, products, and services in areas such as finance, accounting, technology, machine learning, artificial intelligence, supply chain, and logistics management. The graduates have a unique opportunity to use their knowledge to enhance their careers and become business leaders. The world today is talking about knowledge application and how individuals can export their thoughts and ideas into lucrative ventures," Says the Chancellor.
