There are a lot of electives that you can opt for while studying a major degree course in Pharmaceutical Engineering. Most of the colleges give you this option from 2nd year onwards of your BTech course. Some of the elective options are Computational Drug Design, Evaluation of Natural Drugs, Advanced Industrial Unit Processes, Fluid Handling, etc.You can take up any of these as per your interest and inclination. Elective subjects are usually meant to give you an option to explore and experiment to see which particular subject area interests you more within your chosen field.

It will differ from one college to another. Every educational institute has their own set of guidelines that they follow for admission. The time involved in the Pharmaceutical Engineering admission process can easily take up to a few months. After you give your entrance exams, the general procedure involves the declaration of exam results, applying for the counselling process online, seat allotment on the basis of your exam rank, and admission confirmation from your end by visiting the college and paying the Pharmaceutical Engineering course fee.

The Pharmaceutical Engineering course duration is different depending on the course level. If you are studying a UG course in Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, it will spread across 8 semesters that will take up to 4 years to complete. On the other hand, if you plan to go for a PG Pharmaceutical Engineering course, you will have to spend 2 years for the same, where the focus will be on research in the pharma field and will give you a deep understanding of the working processes. You should think carefully about your interests and passions before heading for a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology.

No, not at all. Biology is not required for admission in Pharmaceutical Chemical Engineering or any Engineering.  You just need to have Maths, Physics and Chemistry as the major subjects in 12th standard.  So, you don't need biology in class 12th to secure admission to Pharmaceutical Chemical Engineering at ICT Bombay.
