Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the CTET 2022 exam at 243 exam centres across 74 cities of the country. The exam is being held online from December 28, 2022 and will continue until January 2023, in multiple shifts. As per the feedback shared by candidates, the overall difficulty level of CTET 2022 Paper 1 was easy to moderate. According to some students’ Paper 1 was lengthy.
The CTET question paper 2022 for Paper 1 consists of a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from subjects including Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Candidates were required to attempt the paper in a total duration of two hours and thirty minutes.

CTET Paper 1 Exam Analysis 2022 & Student Reaction
Shiksha visited one of the CTET exam centres in Noida to gather the feedback of candidates appearing for the exam. Check below the feedback and student reaction:
Bharti stated, “The exam was lengthy but not much difficult. The Child Development and Pedagogy section was the easiest of them all but comprised assertions, statements, and questions. Questions based on theories were also asked. In Hindi, questions were not very difficult. But attempting to answer questions on the computer takes time while scrolling. In the Environment section, questions were asked about biodiversity, tiger reserves, and so on. The overall difficulty level was moderate.”

As per the CTET result 2024 of the July session, over 2 lakh candidates cleared the exam. The number of qualified and non-qualified candidates in CTET 2024 exam was available after the declaration of results. The number of qualified candidates were announced by the CBSE in the result PDF. Praveen Kumar stated, "The overall exam was easy in terms of difficulty level. The Child Development and Pedagogy section comprised conceptual questions, NEP, NCP, etc. were also asked. In Language II Hindi, the questions were easy; in Language I English, there were two passages."
Radha stated, “The exam was easy and was able to attempt almost all questions. But, faced difficulty while attempting questions via computer. In Child Development & Pedagogy section questions asked were mostly similar from previous year, NEP (2005), NCP, etc. were covered. The Environment section was also easy.”
Pushpendra Singh stated, "The overall difficulty level of Paper 1 was moderate to easy. Language I and Language II sections were easy, and the EVS section was medium in terms of difficulty level. The Child Development and Pedagogy section included NEP, CALP, NCP, Theories, and other questions.”
Akash stated, “The overall difficulty level of Paper 1 was moderate. Language I and Language II sections were lengthy, some of them based on ancient history. Mathematics section was a bit tough. EVS and Child Development and Pedagogy were medium in terms of difficulty level.”
Monica stated, "The exam was easy. The Child Development and Pedagogy section was easy, based on teaching methods, theories, NEP, etc. Language I and Language II sections were lengthy. In EVS, questions were based on the solar system, reserves, honey bees, etc. However, attempting the paper in online mode consumed more time than offline. If paper would have been offline, more questions could be answered."
Neha stated, “The exam was easy to moderate. Mathematics, EVS and Child Development & Pedagogy sections were easy in comparison to the Langauge I and Language II. It was easy to attempt questions online as it saved time.”
