Hi, You can get a job after M.Sc. Microbiology and the package is also good. But that depends on you have taken admission in which university. As most institutes do not provide any placement as in today's world students need non technical skills also. If you want to do research then you have to pursue Ph.D. I can enlist you two top universities like Amity University and Lovely Professional University wherein you get proper environment and placement.

There are many options that you can choose after your post-graduation. You can grow your career in public as well as in the private sector.
If you want to choose your career as a Junior Research Fellow or an Assistant Professor then you can apply for the NET JRF Exam. You are eligible to take this exam if you have a minimum of 55% marks in your Post graduation. You also can find various opportunities in a governmental organization like DRDO, VSSC, ISRO, SSPL, etc.
You can also apply for jobs in Energy Plants, Automobile Industry.

After Chemistry, all the general career options are open, like banking/Civil Services/Teaching/government jobs, etc. But, as you are a chemistry student and want to make your career future in chemistry only, then the options are different, like you can apply for Industries (where demand of chemists is always high), you can qualify GATE with high rank and can get into PSUs like ONGC, BHEL, etc. and can earn a handsome salary. The most popular and common jobs available are the scientists positions in DRDO, BARC and ISRO, and many other labs like IPR. For DRDO and BARC you have to apply for GATE or BARC written exam. Sometimes DRDO makes direct recruitments for its particular labs but they are not very regular with that. Another option available for you is to qualify NET JRF and then apply for assistant professor in some state colleges or colleges affiliated to universities.
