General cut-off is about 94 percentile, OBC-85 percentile and SC/ST-70 percentile.

That totally depends on the branch you want. To get computer science, you need an AIR under 200, whereas, you can get textile engineering at around AIR 3000-4000.

IITs on today's date offer a lot of non-technical courses along with the technical ones. Think over as to what do you want to do and then check out on the websites of IITs if they offer the same. You can do graduation in physics or chemistry in an IIT. All the best.

If you want to get an admission in IIT, you should clear JEE Mains. None of the IITs offer admission based on 10+2 score. So, don't go for improvement exam.

You have to be graduated from school with decent marks and scored a good rank in JEE for admission to UG course. For M.Tech M.Sc, you will have to take GATE/JAM. If you have a Master’s degree with good knowledge and grades, you can apply for ph.D.
