The B.Sc. in Special Education and Mathematics from Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women combines the study of Mathematics with Special Education. While it includes a Mathematics component similar to a standard B.Sc. in Mathematics, it also focuses on education methodologies for students with special needs. Thus, it is not exactly equivalent to a general B.Sc. in Mathematics because of its additional focus on special education. However, it may provide similar mathematics content with a specialized education aspect, depending on the curriculum balance between these two areas.
