Bangor University has a diverse community and great faculty.
Tips: Bangor University is a great choice for students who are career-oriented. The university offers scholarship education for the tuition fee of every course, and it has a diverse student body and expert faculty members. Additionally, Bangor offers a relatively low cost of living compared to other UK universities. The faculty are highly knowledgeable and experts in their field. You can reach out to them anytime if you have queries regarding the course materials. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Academic oriented and less expensive.
Tips: If you are considering Bangor University, you should be aware that attendance is mandatory. If you miss a class, you will be penalized. Also, some assignments must be completed in class, so skipping class is not an option. Finally, grading is strict, so you must perform well to earn a passing grade. The faculty at Bangor University are friendly and helpful and are available to answer questions by email during business hours. Their offices are conveniently located near the college buildings, and they provide a secure environment for students. Additionally, the university has a computer centre where students can work on assignments and access resources. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Part time work): Finding a part-time job is difficult in Bangor. We are facing a lot of financial problems with part-time and transportation costs are high. The only transportation benefit is for those between the ages of 16 and 21, and it only covers a portion of the cost.

Lightening field for every students.
Tips: The university has a serene and calm environment that fosters focused learning. The faculty members' exceptional teaching methods, coupled with the provision of high-quality study materials, have exceeded my expectations. Public transportation in Bangor is generally convenient, with regular bus services connecting the university to the town centre and surrounding areas. However, students may occasionally encounter difficulties travelling to or from campus, particularly during peak hours or in areas with limited bus routes. Overall, the university's supportive atmosphere and commitment to academic excellence have made my time here truly enriching. I am fully satisfied with my experience at Bangor University.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The academic environment at Bangor University is exceptionally supportive, thanks to the faculty's friendly and approachable nature. One notable aspect is the efficient sharing of notes and materials via Outlook, which facilitates easy access to course materials and streamlined communication with instructors. This organized approach to coursework enables students to focus on their studies without unnecessary stress. Moreover, the calm and serene environment on campus provides an ideal setting for concentrated learning, allowing students to immerse themselves in their studies and achieve their academic goals.

Social Policy, MA - Batch of 2025

Bangor University is easy going and has qualified and highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Coming to the UK was a dream come true for me. After arriving, it was an eye-opening experience for several reasons. Initially, it was difficult to deal with the different cultures, people, and climates, but I slowly started to learn from it. I came here as a government-sponsored student and also received a scholarship from the university. I am doing a Master's in social policy. Our course is not that complicated, so we don't have exams. Instead, we have assessments for each subject in each semester. My course is very easygoing, and the faculty members are very friendly and accessible. Classes are held three days a week, which allows me to work part-time and attend to personal matters. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with my experience as an international student. Of course, there are challenges along the way, but they are good for our personal development and future happiness.
Likes (Public transportation): I live in university accommodation, so I don't need to take transportation to campus. I walk. When I go to my part-time job, I take the bus. Public transportation is comfortable and affordable, especially if you buy a daily ticket. Students also get a discount on tickets.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are restaurants and cafes on campus that serve Western cuisine, so it is difficult to find food that is familiar to me. I prefer to cook my own food when I feel like eating something from my home country. Food items that I am familiar with are available in nearby stores, but they are expensive.

MSc Agroforestry and Food Security - Batch of 2025
3.8
Bangor University is the best place for forestry related studies.
Tips: Students should understand the modules really well before joining. If you like the subject, you can enjoy learning it. I am happy to do this course because I like the subject. My communication skills have improved a lot because it is a multicultural university, and my class has students from 16 countries. This allows me to hear a worldly perspective every day in class. I am self-funded, but there are opportunities to avail scholarships. There is a student union called UNDEB that works year-round to improve the student experience. UNDEB sponsors activities for students, such as volunteering and a student fair. There are also many activities sponsored by student societies. The only downside is that if you are taking an intensive course, you may miss out on some of the fun aspects of university life. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course, country and the university.
Dislikes (Part time work): The city of Bangor is very small and mostly comprises students. Its an apt nickname as a student city. While there are internship opportunities, finding part-time work is difficult. There are cities nearby where you can apply for jobs, but travel can be a bit tricky.

Management (MBA) - Batch of 2025
4.1
Bangor University: A safe and supportive community for students.
Tips: Before joining Bangor University, the student should be aware it is a peaceful, close-knit environment with a strong focus on research and excellent support services. The transition to Bangor may involve a cultural shift, especially for those coming from big cities as it is a quieter and nature-friendly town. Scholarships are available on academic merit and financial needs with allowances that cover partial or full tuition fees. The university staff is supportive the place is calm and serene making it ideal for focused study.
Likes (Safety): Bangor is rated highly for safety due to its low crime rate and peaceful, community-oriented environment. This small city is closely knit, creating a secure atmosphere for both residents & students. Bangor is a safe and welcoming place to live and study.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I'm yet to fall in the PSW category and start the hunt. The course will be over for me in January 2025, as of now I have not started the application process and am unaware of the post-study jobs. This period will be crucial for me as I am still assessing the job market and trying to align my academics with the market demand, especially in my field of study. It is the phase that requires careful planning and preparations.

Going to the University at Solent is a dream come true.
Tips: I would say before coming to the UK you should know that you will get the biggest cultural shock here. The study process is very different from India. You will have assignments for your final exam instead of written exams. Scholarship here at Solent University I am not sure about this financial year you can check on the university's official website.
Likes (Internships): Getting Internships here in your relevant field is I would say a bit of a challenge. You have to have some kind of connections in the respective organisation otherwise you will miss the chance straight away. One more thing just research the UK's market as much as you can. This will give you the advantage of what and where you should target the market for your dream job.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of getting PR here in the UK is next to impossible because you have to get a sponsorship job for 5 years and then you can think of getting ILR. If someone is looking for a foreign experience only and not thinking about settling down here can consider the UK.

Tier 4 Average University for MBA
Tips: Average college which charges extra for placement. Not a good learning institution with nothing new to learn. Teachers are also not that much-educated, the teaching method is lesser than what I expected. I did not got to learn any extra skills which I already don't have and now it is too difficult to get a job even after having this MBA degree.
Likes (Public transportation): Affordable public transport, the bus is cheap like 2-3 gbp for one journey depending on the bus but if you are travelling by railway it's way too expensive. So you will have to stay in the city and there are many bus stops which connect to the university depending where you are living.
Dislikes (Part time work): Very few part time jobs on campus and town too. Expensive cost of living even if you get a part-time job it will be cleaning jobs, waiter, or food assistant mopping job which is not worth it because the rent is too high. Food is expensive and in the end, you will not save anything.

Very limited immigration opportunities; college environment and transportation facilities are great.
Tips: You should be self-sufficient to understand and re-run the course at home as well. Be ready to attend the classes as they take regular attendance for the students. There is a good teaching faculty who help you whenever you need them to.
Likes (Public transportation): The mode of transport is good and there are lots of connections to reach the campus. Buses ply every half an hour and trains are available too. The bus stop is a walkable distance from the college. You can easily travel by any means to the college and your house.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): There are no adequate campus placements that sponsor you in order to get permanent immigration. The chances are pretty low given your student tenure doesn't add up to the years required for permanent immigration. Yes, I would still permanently immigrate to this country as there are other benefits that help you to manage both work and personal life.

Grass is greener from far, always focus on your area and have plan B
Tips: Scholarship is one thing students should find out before coming here. Job market research before choosing a course is significant for any student. More practical studies than theory. One need to uplift their technical skills. There is less exposure here and the job market is difficult here. Student discounts are one thing you should find out. Students should get rail cards to get cheap fares.
