We are not allowed to work part time because of our student visa.
Tips: I definitely noticed a big difference between India and the Philippines, especially in terms of food and culture. Everything was new to me, but I enjoyed learning about their culture and way of life. Most importantly, I appreciated the respect that they showed me. I was unable to get a part-time job because I was on a student visa. The schedule at my university was so busy that I didn't have time to work part-time, and the pay wasn't very good. If you are thinking about working part-time in the Philippines, you may not be able to do so.
Likes (Safety): As far as I know, you won't have any trouble with safety in the Philippines because the people there are so kind and helpful in all aspects. I remember one night when my friends and I were stuck in a city in the Philippines. The people there helped us get home safely, which was a good experience for us.

The college is good but there is an intense competition for internships.
Tips: Before you join a university, it's important to do your research. Find out about the tuition fees, additional costs, and whether there are scholarships or financial aid available. It's also important to evaluate the campus culture, diversity, and opportunities for extracurricular activities. Internships are available at this university. They provided valuable learning opportunities, exposure to the professional world, and a chance to develop particular skills. However, the intense competition and high level of skills required made it challenging for students to grow. On the plus side, the university also provides opportunities for students to assist in many surgeries, which gives them better exposure to the surgical field.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Vegetarian options were limited, and most of the food offered contained meat or seafood. Vegan options were also limited and more expensive. Filipino food is mostly sticky rice and meat. So I didn't get to eat basmati rice or non-sticky rice very often.

Davao Medical School Foundation has a diverse campus.
Tips: It is a beautiful place and especially a safe one where discipline is maintained. It was quite different from my place, and it took me some time to adjust to the people. But then it was good. I was lucky enough to have a family who provided for me. I got to see how a hospital actually works, including surgery, outpatient departments, and patient treatment. I also got to go to different hospitals, and the doctors were kind enough to share their experiences and guide the students. I personally never found the time to do part-time work because of the syllabus, exams, and chores around the house. When you get a free moment, it's best to rest. Days pass like minutes, and before you know it, it's the end of the year. So finding time is quite difficult. I was well satisfied with the Davao Medical School Foundation.

The course is very tough and we are not allowed to do part time job.
Tips: The people are nice here, and the best part is that you don't need to learn the local language. I love the Philippines because of this. I didn't get a scholarship, but the course is very strict. Davao City has the best public transportation. Jeepneys and tuk-tuks are the most popular mode of transportation. The fare is only 15 pesos. Taxi are a little more expensive, but they are available 24 hours a day.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): If you're thinking of getting a job while studying at Davao Medical School Foundation, it's not for you. The school doesn't allow students to work, and you won't have time to do so anyway.

Great college for strong academics.
Tips: Davao Medical School Foundation is academically good but a bit stressful. Scholarships are not offered, so students have to pay their own way. If you can handle the stress, you will get good results. But if you fail, don't give up. Just keep trying hard and you will reach your goal. There are also many on-campus events hosted by thee university for students to participate in and learn something new. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Good university and excellent teaching staff.
Tips: Students should know before joining the university that they need to qualify for the NEET exam. Without that, please don't join. Try to contact the university directly, it may reduce stress. Buy good thick clothes. It gets could there. If you are vegetarian, try to get enough spices in your bags, as you won't unnecessarily find the same foods you are used to eating at home. If you are able to, bring a pressure cooker with you so you can prepare your own food to the flavour you like. Orenburg is a safe place for students. It is also a good place for girls. People here are generally friendly and helpful. I had a good experience. I have been staying here for six years yet I have not faced any problems.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Once I ate Russian chicken, they didn't boil it completely. They just half-boil it, and they don't put any masala on it, either. They just barbecue it and serve it, which isn't nice at all. There's no pani puri here, or anything like that you get in India.

The college is fine, and it requires students to work hard.
Tips: Students should know about the college/university, faculty, study place, hostel, campus, living conditions, weather, cost of living, temperature, room conditions and materials to carry with themselves. They should be aware about what all to carry while coming here for the first time, like warm clothes and shoes, etc.
Likes (Safety): Safety is so good. I have not faced any problem till now. Not just me, no one has faced any problem until now. I am so happy about it. Safety is totally assured. That is my guarantee. Russians are far better than Indians. They don't interfere. They don't create problems.
Dislikes (Indian Food): No proper food options. I don't see any Indian food here. I can't live without Indian food. I can find only pizzas, burgers and KFC. How many times could we eat the same thing? I am fed up of eating outside and that too the same thing again and again. Recently, I have started to prepare my own food.

Best in safety and good quality of academics.
Tips: The culture here is quite modern, but we easily adapted. Many consultants are available in India as well; RMEA is managing here, and another dominant one is Rus Education. There is no discrimination, and it's good for studying. Food is not good in the whole of Russia; self-cooking is the best option. I am very satisfied with the studies and the city. Our city is not big, but we can get all things easily here. Many students fail, but at the end, the FMGE results are good.
Likes (Safety): The whole of Russia is very safe for students, and the people are also good. There are good laws, and that's why all things are under control. We are happy to live here, and overall, things are good. Our city, Orenburg, is very strict in studies.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I don't know about all placements, as many of us come through agency consultancies. Jobs are also available here, but the schedule is tight, so we don't have time to do them.

Student life is good but you have to study hard.
Tips: Students should know about the campus, university, hostel, food facility, rooms, and the distance between the hostel and university. They also need to know about the climatic conditions and, most importantly, the banks where they can exchange currency from rupees to rubles. I stayed in Orenburg for 5.8 years, and the food options were very limited. There were only a few places to eat, and the food was not good. I missed the variety of food options that we have in India. I worked part-time at KFC and earned more than 50,000 rubles. It was a nice experience, and the money helped me a lot. I used the money to book a flight back to India. There are other places to work as well, such as Burger King, Dodo Pizza, and others.

It is a good university with part-time opportunities.
Tips: Before I went to Russia, I contacted some seniors who guided me very well. One thing they told me was that the weather is very cold, so I should pack warm clothes. Another thing they told me was that I should bring snacks and Indian spices because I would be cooking my own food. The internships are not very good. Sometimes we are asked to clean floors, and other times there is no work at all. I suggest that you take your internships in India. Part-time work is allowed at our university. In fact, it's allowed all over Russia. You can work in restaurants and as a delivery agent. There are no restrictions on this type of work, and it can be very beneficial.

The university provides a few on-campus seminars for students which are really helpful.
Tips: I checked my university ranking, and it was in second place according to Forbes. Students need to know about the college ranking. They should also know about the climate, food, and accommodation facilities that the college provides. There aren't many options for post-study jobs. The language barrier makes it difficult to work as a doctor, but it is possible to work in other sectors. But part-time jobs are easy to find. There are a lot of opportunities in Orenburg, where I live. We can work at Burger King, KFC, Dodo Pizza, or as a delivery driver at other restaurants. Plus, the hourly pay is very good. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences here in Orenburg.

The country is safe and the university hosts many on campus events to interact with our seniors.
Tips: When you come to study at a university in a new country, you need to be more adaptive. You cannot expect things to be the same as in your home country. You need to accept things as they are and not complain about what you don't like. You also need to learn the local language, as it will be a big hurdle if you don't. There are many distractions in a new country, but if you stay focused on your studies, you will be fine.
Likes (Safety): I feel safe here, even when I am out late at night. The people here are not very friendly, but they are not interested in you and won't bother you. My friends and I go out at night, and it is nothing like India. Here, no one cares about what you wear or who you are with. It is very free here.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food options at this university are almost none. You are either eating tasteless burgers or pizzas, or you are cooking for yourself. Cooking takes a lot of time, especially when you are studying. Sometimes we really crave for Indian street food.

The university is really good and has great professors.
Tips: Orenburg State Medical University is an affordable and recognised medical education abroad. The university offers various programs, including English medium study, cultural programs, and other activities. The teachers are always helping during internships, both in class time and in summer practice. The doctors are also very helpful when we are in the hospital, and they discuss everything in English. The university offers two types of internships: clinical and research. Clinical internships provide hands-on experience in hospitals and clinics under the supervision of experienced doctors. Research internships provide opportunities to work on research projects under the guidance of faculty members.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are no part-time jobs on campus. If you want to do a part-time job, you can do it off-campus after class. However, in the medical field, there is no time for part-time work, so if you want to do a job, you will have to do it off campus. Overall, this seems like a good option for students looking for an affordable and recognised medical education abroad.

Orenburg State Medical University has very tough academics.
Tips: If you want to study at Orenburg State Medical University, you need to be prepared to study hard. If you are not interested in studying and just want to get a degree and enjoy life, you should choose another university. Permanent immigration is a long process. You have to finish your UG and then PG. After PG, you have to work for some years before you can get permanent immigration. Also, the pay is comparable to other countries, and you must be fluent in Russian to work there. The county is very safe. Every student needs an entry card or tap card, to enter the hostel and the university and entry is not permitted without a card. You don't have to worry about anything at any time. It is completely safe for boys or girls.

Good university to get into medical field.
Tips: I really loved the faculty at this university. They were very supportive and knowledgeable, and they treated Indian students especially well. The city itself is amazing, and I miss it so much. Everything about it is great, from the safety of the people to the standard of living. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fee is justified as there's a lot to learn and the faculty is very well acquainted with the newer advances in science. There are also scholarship programs and various Olympiads where you get to represent your university. It's a great place to be.
Dislikes (Part time work): There have been advances in part-time job opportunities since last year. You can work at a restaurant or do other jobs of your choice, and the pay is good enough to cover your expenses. You can easily earn about 2000 rupees per week if you work for about 4-5 hours per day.

Stressful and hard but one of the best experience to grow independent.
Tips: As a student at this university, you'll have a great experience. It's a new experience for many, and you may find it difficult to adjust at first, but you'll eventually adapt. There are no scholarship programs as such, and admissions are usually done by agencies and counsellors. Make sure you choose them wisely and monitor every step of the process. Get to know some seniors and make friends. Try to come out of your comfort zone and explore and learn. The university is one of the top 5 in the country, and it is strict and disciplined in terms of academics. The faculty is good, and the study is rigorous.
Likes (Public transportation): Transportation via bus is quite good and very cheap. There are nearby bus stops and routes, and you can use apps like Yandex to find them. During rush times, there can be crowds, but otherwise, there is no problem. Many people also use cabs, and you can use apps like Uber, Yandex, and Drivee to find them.
Dislikes (Indian Food): First of all, there are no Indian restaurants here, but a few serve Indian cuisine. Vegetarians don't have many options. If you explore, you can find some good restaurants. It's better to cook your own meals as vegetables are cheap here, just like in India.

College life was good and unexpected.
Tips: You should know about the weather and the Russian language before coming to this university. You will explore Russian culture and the city. You can also learn Russian. You will enjoy the cold weather and snowfall, which is a new experience. I didn't get a scholarship, but the education is good.
Likes (Internships): After you complete your course, internships are available. You have to search for an opening at a hospital and then you can apply for an internship. It is easy to find an internship, and you will get great experience and learn a lot. An internship lasts for one year, after which you can open your own hospital.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are many companies that offer visas for work. One of the best is Rus Education. After getting your letter of admission from the college, you can apply for a visa. Salary packages are a minimum of 10,000 USD per year for an MBBS doctor. You will need to apply for a job at a hospital.

Orenburg State Medical University needs to improve its attendance system.
Tips: The university has a 100% attendance rule, so even if you are unwell you have to attend classes or give Atravotka, which means to repeat and give viva for the missed classes. Safety is very good in Russia. The sense of security and safety for girls is better than in other countries. Public transportation and private transportation are safe options to travel to any place. Overall, the country is safe and secure, but you do need to take responsibility for your own safety. In Russia, Russian is the first and only language spoken, which creates a barrier for students seeking part-time work. Additionally, the university does not allow students to work on campus due to liability concerns and other factors.

This university is only good for a degree. No internships or practical exposure.
Tips: There was a massive cultural shift from India, which is a friendly country where people help each other out. In Russia, people mind their own business. Also, I am not aware of any scholarships available for Indian students. Most importantly, my university lacks the proper training that I will need to work in a country like India. Overall, I am not satisfied with my university in Russia.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation in this city is very affordable and connects the whole city with buses. It costs only thirty or thirty-five rubles to roam the entire city. Although the campuses are spread across the city, you can reach them by bus or taxi.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are close to impossible to find because of the fact that Indians do not speak fluent Russian and the teachers too can't speak and understand fluent English therefore it's not possible to do internship here in Russia. The university lacks clinical training.

A supportive and culturally diverse learning experience at Orenburg State Medical University.
Tips: Before joining Orenburg State Medical University (OSMU), students should be aware of its rigorous academic environment and the importance of staying disciplined. Proficiency in English is beneficial, as many courses are taught in English, but a basic understanding of Russian can greatly ease communication during clinical rotation and daily life. Adapting to the climate and culture of Orenburg is also essential, especially for international students. The transition to OSMU can be a significant change, particularly for students coming from different countries. Many experience a cultural shift, adapting to Russian traditions, food, and social norms. However, the university's diverse student community helps create a supportive environment, making the adjustment smoother. Scholarship opportunities are limited for international students, but some merit-based options may be available depending on academic performance. It's advisable to research and inquire directly with the university or external organizations for financial assistance. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Quality of faculty): OSMU also offers several student clubs and communities, such as cultural clubs, debate forums, and research groups, allowing students to explore their interests beyond academics. These activities promote camaraderie among students from diverse backgrounds. Overall, OSMU provides a vibrant and inclusive environment that makes college life memorable and fulfilling.
Dislikes (Value for money): Orenburg State Medical University (OSMU) is well-regarded for its student-focused approach, particularly the accessibility of its faculty. Professors are approachable, often encouraging students to seek academic and professional guidance beyond classroom hours. This creates a supportive environment that helps students excel in their studies. The university teaching methodology is a blend of traditional and modern approaches. Early clinical exposure allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, enhancing their learning experience. Interactive lectures, simulation labs, and problem-based learning foster critical thinking and hands-on skills. The emphasis on combining theory with practice ensures students are well-prepared for real-world medical challenges. OSMU also boasts a diverse faculty, with members from various national and international backgrounds. This diversity provides students with a global perspective on medical education and healthcare trends, enriching the academic environment and encouraging cultural exchange.

Orenburg State Medical University is academic oriented and has a lot of competition.
Tips: Before joining this university every student must know that the language barrier is a real thing. Teachers use the Soviet method on students, and you will be taught Russian in Russian, not with the help of English. Also, be prepared to have no friends, as the environment is so competitive that people will just use you and let you down so they can win. Studies are the priority, and the university will keep reminding you of this until you graduate. The dean is very helpful, and you should be prepared to spend money without knowing why, as adulthood is the key.
Likes (Internships): Hospital rotation and exposure to different surgeries and departments are offered, it really helps the students to make a decision and it really offers more than just simple communication with patients.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The teachers at this university are very strict. They will grade you poorly even if it is not your fault. Only a few teachers actually like to teach. The rest are just there to demoralize you. You can't expect more from them because that is their teaching style. This forces the student to become completely self-reliant, which feels good in a way.

Good teaching and value for money.
Tips: When you first arrive in Russia, you'll need to adjust to the food and especially the cold weather. Bring as many winter clothes as you can, and be prepared for a change in your routine. After the first year, you'll be able to adjust to the temperature and the food. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Safety): I felt safe in the city and the country as a whole, which is much safer than in India. The people were kind to foreigners, and we were never discriminated against for being foreigners. In fact, people were very friendly and helpful.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university did not allow students to do part-time work in the city. Students submitted several applications to the Dean's Office, but they were all rejected. However, a few students have now received permission and are working part-time.

Tips: Russia is a safe place for girls. Everyone is respectful, and there are strict rules against violations. The environment is peaceful, and you can roam freely even at night without fear. However, I would say that you have to learn Russian to communicate with patients and natives. If you are looking for part-time work, you can apply for a job at a nearby restaurant. The faculty is well-educated and understanding.
Tips: The weather is the most important factor for students coming here. For a few months there is snow filled all over the city and the temperature drops to -30. You need warm clothes in this season. While there are 3-4 months when there is hot weather. There are no scholarships given by the University to foreign students that we have heard of yet. I'm quite satisfied with the University. There is a cultural difference but you will soon adapt to it.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is well-educated and has different departments. Every year the specific department releases materials to prepare and uploads them on Drive which is shared with students. The teaching is separated into classes and lectures. The timetable for everything is posted on notice boards in each department.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are no on-campus opportunities that we know of that are available from the university. There are off-campus jobs available at various restaurants and food shops, but they require a procedure to be followed, such as permission from the university. Part-time jobs are manageable if you know the language well.

The Orenburg State Medical University provides us a path for future and grow significantly.
Tips: My university is one of the best in Russia for academics. There is a lot of scientific research going on where we can actively participate and the teachers are very good at keeping us up-to-date on the latest research. Public transportation in Orenburg is very convenient. There were plenty of buses running frequently, and the bus stops were close by and easy to find. I never had a problem getting around town.
