DCU is good and I would recommend it to others.
Tips: It's a great school in a beautiful country with wonderful people. Students should know that it is important to learn about the ranking of the university and see if you're eligible for any scholarships at the initial stage after you receive your seat. Also, keep in mind that exploring the city during your course may be limited due to budget constraints.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at DCU are both helpful and approved making the academic experience more engaging and enriching. From the very beginning, professors are super helpful and committed to ensuring that students adapt well to the new academic environment. Initially, catching up can be quite challenging especially for those familiar teaching methods compare to back home. However, as time pass by, the process becomes more adaptable and manageable with the support of the faculty. Professors at DCU encourage us to participate actively in discussions and, collaboration and inclusive teaching atmosphere. The open discussions between professors and students are particularly engaging and interesting allowing us to exchange diverse perceptive. Faculty members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, which they share enthusiastically, inspiring students to think critically and be innovative. One of the most remarkable aspects of the faculty is their openness and accessibility. Whether it is during lectures, office hours or through emails, they are always willing to assist during working hours and provide guidance on assignments and projects. Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are limited, and the competition for the available positions is fierce. Off-campus employment opportunities are somewhat better, but it can take a while to find a suitable position. Personally, I have been able to manage my part-time work and studies, but I have less time for myself. The minimum wage here is 12.5.

Dublin City University has a fun campus and the student life here is amazing.
Tips: Dublin City University (DCU) is perfect for someone looking to pursue greater heights academically and in other fields like sports. They maintain an excellent standard for themselves. So far in my time at DCU, they have offered the best college experience compared to my previous University.
Likes (Student Life): My current campus offers many facilities that my previous university didn't, such as a pharmacy, a supermarket, designed space to eat, and a proper canteen. Additionally, we're kept well-informed about various events and activities through their engaging Instagram pages.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food available here is either overpriced or lacks authenticity, leaving me disappointed. Given the high cost and poor quality, I've realized that I could easily prepare the same dishes at home. Not only would it be more affordable, but it would also taste better.

Tips: Students should be aware that student life in Ireland is very different from that in India. While life here is amazing, students must be prepared to work hard to achieve a good life after graduation. The student life here is amazing. Students and teachers are really friendly and helpful with coursework. The lectures are amazing and I love the student life here. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the experiences.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are part-time opportunities, but most of them are already taken and the job postings are just for name sake and there are no proper responses from anyone. Everything happens with reference here and it is a bit difficult to get into so we have to try hard.

My experience at DCU was good, but I think the university could do more to help it.
Tips: Students should know that the transition will be heard as they move away from the safety of their home. The course has mostly Indians though, as I expected more diversity there. I got a scholarship of 2000 Euros for my course fee. The college can be rated as above average after TCD and UCD here in Dublin. It is a nice university, but the faculty could have been better, as a lot of new first-time professors in this January intake were here. Nonetheless, a lot of hard work and self-study are needed.

Good experience but a bad market with limited job.
Tips: At least have 2 years of experience otherwise, get some experience and come aboard. To get a scholarship you've to be an early applicant. It is completely random. Don't be shy to talk or ask questions. No one is going to judge you. People in the college are more friendly and make you feel more comfortable.
Likes (Part time work): Yow will land any part-time job. Visit directly to the place and talk to the manager about any available vacancy. This will increase your chance of landing a job. Don't apply online for a part-time job and wait for a reply. It never going to work like that.
Dislikes (Internships): There are no internship opportunities in Ireland. Here they prefer a graduate role. It's very rare to get an internship opportunity in Ireland. Since companies prefer a graduate role over an internship. It's limited in Ireland, as the majority of businesses focus on graduate employment.

Tips: Before joining Dublin City University (DCU), students should understand the course structure, campus facilities and the cost of living in Dublin. Tips: It’s all good, just work hard. Keep asking if you have any doubts or queries as you have paid for the knowledge and not to listen “figure it out” and ask questions like you are a 5-year-old. Believe in yourself and have fun living abroad.

Great transportation facility to explore the city, good University with strong academics.
Tips: Students should be aware of their program's prerequisites and the registration procedure when they attend DCU. Attend the campus resources orientation and seek assistance from student services. Keep track of your assignments and due dates. Join organizations and groups to get a well-rounded experience. If you don't reside on campus, schedule your commute.
Likes (Public transportation): Direct Bus: A direct bus service that connects DCU and Palmerstown may not exist. Dublin Bus, however, has several routes that can get you there. For instance, you might have to ride the bus from DCU to the city centre, where you'll need to change to another one that goes to Palmerstown. Routes: The 25, 66, and 67 are frequently used routes in the Palmerstown region. For comprehensive route information and real-time updates, visit the Dublin Bus website.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Like if you get a job then you will have to renew your stamp to 1G and from stamp 2 which is a student visa. After that if you get a job then you can get a critical skills visa that is stamp 1 directly after living for 2 years u are eligible for stamp 4.

Easy going, friendly environment with a big campus and a huge library.
Tips: Before joining this college students should check for scholarships. The people here are friendly and the professors are fantastic to work with. The course was kind of challenging but you get guidance from professors. It's a really small country and everyone knows each other moreover most of the people are friendly.
Likes (Student Life): The student union, fun events and there are Nubar to the hill as well. There are three different campuses and if you have a DCU ID you can stroll around during free time. Glasnevin campus is huge one St. Patrick's campus is the smallest. They do have cultural events too.
Dislikes (Internships): Not really, internships are pretty tough to get. I did not find any internships related to my course and as I have a good experience I focused more on getting a full time job. But if you can try your luck on LinkedIn to find internships or apprenticeships.

My experience at Dublin City University was wonderful and memorable.
Tips: Students should have some background knowledge about the course and how the job market is for those roles. I got a scholarship of 4000 based on my previous academic scores.
I did my master's completely online as I was in the Covid batch, for which I felt the fee was a bit high. The quality of teaching is very good and I’d recommend it to anybody.
Likes (Post study jobs): I got my job based on my previous experience. However, studying at this university was also an add-on advantage to getting a job. I have worked in two companies after graduation, both sponsored visas for work.
I working in automation testing and my salary was between 35-40k during the first year.
Dislikes (Safety): I have heard from my friends who live in that area that the locality is not very safe. Teenagers bully people and steal from them. I’ve also heard the neighbourhood is very quiet and some students find it difficult to walk alone at times.
Other than that the student accommodation is safe and friendly.

Excellent, approachable, helpful and friendly faculty that motivates us to do good.
Tips: You get to learn a lot of things when you are coming as an international student. There are cultural shifts and also there are many things here that are not the same as in India but we all get adjusted to those things easily. Overall, I am really satisfied.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Very approachable and friendly. Everything theoretical things are shown practically with live examples and also industrial experiences of professors help understand problems more deeply. The helping nature of the faculty motivates us to study and the strict faculty always keeps us on our toes.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The year 2024 is not too good for the job as there are many people and very few jobs. Ireland was not ready for this much intake which has caused trouble here. Very few companies are offering sponsorship and the salary is a minimum of 35,000 Euros per year.

No attendance, good online study portal, and fair grading system.
Tips: No attendance, going to college is optional which is a big plus. Good online study portal to access all the study material. All classroom lecture recordings are uploaded by lecturers and are available by the EOD on the online study portal and there is a fair marking system for assignments.
Likes (Safety): It is a good and safe university to study. However, the surrounding areas are very unsafe to live in. I would suggest upcoming students research more about the unsafe places in Dubin and get accommodation in good areas. Teenagers are causing a big problem in Ireland mainly in a few areas of Dublin. Some mob will come hit you and may cause you severe injuries, but still, you may not get help from anybody including the government and they won't even get punished by law. So choose a good area to live in and travel by bus and with friends mostly.
Dislikes (Internships): We have to apply to companies for internships or jobs. University won't bring any companies like how it happens in India. Some companies will come to the college to advertise their companies and during that time if there are any relevant companies we can ask them and check if there are any jobs available. If yes we have to apply through their company's careers page.

DCU has a great campus with helpful professors.
Tips: I didn't get any scholarship since I applied for this college before I finished my Bachelors. Had I applied it later I would have gotten at least a 2000 Euro scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the country and the courses they provides, the university also as a whole was very good and affordable when I came here.
Likes (Safety): Everything regarding safety is very good for me in this city. The only people who look down are the other Indians in this country since many carry on with an attitude. I don't like to speak to any other Indians except my friends since whenever I approached any other Indians they were rude to me initially.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I don't have a job at the moment since I require sponsorship to stay in this country but given a chance to permanent reside in the country, I would take that chance since it has greater benefits and is very lively. In the initial days I wanted to leave the country but as the time passes you get adjusted to it.

Amazing university, amazing faculty and a huge learning opportunity.
Tips: If someone is joining a technical course, they should be well rehearsed with the technology taught in the course as mostly everything is taught through applied principles. So one should prepare beforehand as it is going to be tough to study a STEM course here.
Likes (Internships): DCU gives opportunities for internships for under graduates and also for Masters. They give opportunities to take internships in their research programs. In my course Intel comes every year, they select 10 students for a job offer and also 3000 Euros scholarship.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is hard to get as it is expensive and if you cook yourself it will be better. It doesn't depend on the college you choose, for food, you have to learn cooking. Indian cooking material is easily available. Almost everything. For dosa lovers I would suggest bring dosa pan from India and bring cooker as well.

DCU - Exploring Excellence. Transportation is a challenge but overall, worth experiencing.
Tips: No doubt one will experience a cultural shift after coming to Ireland. However, it depends upon an individual how they want to groom themselves. I transition myself in a positive way by networking and increasing my knowledge. I also got a 2,000 EUR scholarship from my university basis my merit & SOP. I am quite satisfied with my journey in Ireland and would suggest everyone to come in here with an open mindset so that they are well prepared to face the initial challenges.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fee for the course is satisfactory. The faculty of the college is very supportive and provides guidance to the students whenever required. DCU provides real market knowledge to students that helps one to get a job and have an edge in the market.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Dublin's Public Transportation is a 3-star due to its mixed performance across various following aspects:
1. Accessibility & Coverage:
While major areas are well connected by buses, Luas and Arts certain suburban and rural areas experience limited-service frequency and connectivity. DCU (Dublin City University) is situated in North Dublin i. e. D9, thus its connectivity from City Center is good as we have 3 buses (155,4 and 13) each running at an interval of 10-15 minutes right from DCU main campus GATE. It takes 35 minutes from the city center to reach the college thus it is preferable, to stay near the campus at least till the college period.
2. Reliability & Punctuality:
Delays especially during the peak hours are not uncommon, leading to frustration. Also, it's worth mentioning that not all buses are 24*7, thus people find it difficult to commute post-midnight. Traffic can be witnessed during peak hours which delays transportation. Additionally, disruptions due to maintenance work or unforeseen circumstances further exacerbate the issue, often leaving the passengers seeking alternative modes of transportation.
3. Affordability & Value:
Dublin Transportation can be accessed through Leap cards which can be easily built for students from their college. DCU provides these supports and has thus proved to be very beneficial for me as they provided me with all the initial necessary guidance related to the leap card. The student leap card costs 1 EUR for one time travelling which is valid for 90 minutes while the normal taps on general leap cards cost 2 EUR per tap in.

Tips: The staff is very supportive, and the facilities are great. The biggest challenge is the weather, but otherwise, everything is good. Tips: Pay your fees in advance, and avoid split options. Do join student societies before coming to DBS. This will give you a good idea of student life at DBS. Finally, be prepared for winter, especially if you are starting in January or April. Overall, I found the course, college, and country to be satisfactory and note that DBS is a college, not a university.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The teaching staff is really efficient. They interact with students in and after class, and are happy to answer questions. The teaching quality and contact assistance is good. Just be polite to faculty, because it is hard for them to recognize Indian accents.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Dublin has very few options for Indian food and the options available are very costly. The Indian cuisines available do not meet the quality standards. Please do prefer eating at home by preparing own stuff. Eating at home reduces burn to your wallet, and results in healthy options.

Tips: Dublin Business School is a great school in a great country. But students should be aware that the school is very strict about attendance. You can't just skip class and roam around. My life has changed a lot since I came here. I'm thinking more financially and saving money. This was my dream country to come and study, and I'm glad I did.
Likes (Indian Food): The food options at this college are very good. It depends on what kind of food you want to eat. In my case, I only eat salads and that's relatively inexpensive. If you want to eat Indian food, it's a bit more expensive. But there are Indian food options available.
Dislikes (Part time work): DBS does not provide any part-time support to their students. The average payout is 12.80 Euros per hour. We need to look for part-time on our own. Also for the jobs, one thing I have noticed is that you will be given less priority as compared to other EU residents or other EU passport holders. For part-time my suggestion would be to start a pub job or security job.

Dbs is full of Indian students. People call it Desi Business School.
Tips: I attended DBS and found that it is full of Indian students, so I didn't feel like I was in a foreign country. That was the biggest drawback for me. Also, most of the students who attend DBS don't want to study, which caused problems when I was in a group and had to work with them on assignments. On the plus side, the teachers and administrators are very good and supportive, and there are lots of opportunities to have fun.
Likes (Public transportation): If you are living outside the city, public transportation can be a challenge. Buses are convenient, but they don't go everywhere. The Luas light rail system doesn't connect to the entire city, and the frequency of the trains is not great. If you miss a train, you may have to wait for 30 minutes or more for the next one.
Dislikes (Internships): College organizes career hubs and meetups to guide students seeking internships. Internships are relevant in my field, and the college considers two to three years of experience to be equivalent to being a fresher. However, internships are only available to graduates, so complete freshers should not come to this college expecting to get a job.

DBS is nice. Students will get the job after completing the course with their skills and experience.
Tips: It is a nice college. It provides a good quality of education but, it’s a small building. The faculty was good and always willing to help students who needed it. The school has top-notch facilities, and the teaching methods are great in all departments. It's easy to approach faculty in any department, and DBS is full of diversity. And students get so many advantages to do many activities. For eg, playing Table Tennis and getting chances to win tournaments also students can play cricket there. Many events were organised at DBS when I was studying there. I got a scholarship after scoring 6 bands in IELTS. Overall, I am fully satisfied and have no complaints.

DBS is a great option as it provides computers and necessary resources if you have limited budget.
Tips: Keep some experience in programme and course and the college faculty are good and explain topics very well. You can find different cultural people but most of them are Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshi. You can also find different cultures professors and the hospitality is good.
Likes (Public transportation): It is located in the heart of the city and is easy to travel from anywhere as there are frequent buses, trams and trains from all over places to college. So if you find accommodation somewhere far from the college there is no need to worry as you can have all modes of transport from all places.
Dislikes (Internships): They don't have any specific internship opportunities, only courses or programs they offer. To find more opportunities check the LinkedIn page of the college and you can see the part-time and full-time job postings. Please keep looking at the post as it may lead you to a job.

A great college with kind and amazing lecturers.
Tips: Students should try and get shared accommodation on the outskirts where they can commute to college by public transport and find a part-time job as soon as they sort their bank accounts. Working part-time and studying is a hassle as well. Get to know your shift timings and speak to your managers upfront. Be careful at night, ignore some crazy people whoever is coming at you when walking in the street.
Likes (Public transportation): Transportation was easily accessible and was cheaper for students with their leap card for which the college supported them from the first day. Even without having the student leap card, transportation was easily accessible. Bus or Trams could easily connect us to the nooks and corners around the city and a bit of the outskirts.
Dislikes (Internships): No Internships were available through college nor they helped in finding any. Just an Instagram and LinkedIn group was made to get updates regarding college and career and nothing apart from that. Working part-time and taking classes will gobble up most of our time.

I wouldn't recommend anyone for DBS in Ireland.
Tips: I would say no one will grow at this university and the head of the department is very toxic and doesn’t want to hear about student's problems. They just want to make money here and would rather say that this university's name should be a money-making university.
Likes (Value for money): At DBS no one is here to hear you about your complaints and this pattern has started from the beginning of the college. It is the worst college I have ever seen in my life. There are no clubs, no community and nothing for student help.
Dislikes (Student Life): I would say that this university is worse than you think especially for Indian students. All they want is money and they don’t think about a student's career. You pay them and that is what matters to them and after paying the full fees they won’t hear from you anymore.

A college made for Indian in Ireland.
Tips: After coming here and joining Dublin business school I have seen a difference between education and culture. The technique of teaching in Ireland is totally different compared to India. The schedule of classes is also different as there will be only 2 days of classes.
Likes (Student Life): Student life at Dublin Business School is very chill life. Classes are just twice a week. For some courses, it's thrice a week. Because of this students get time to work part time by which they can manage their expenses. Also, the DBS student support team is always ready to solve any problem one student is facing.
Dislikes (Internships): Dublin Business School do not provide any internship opportunities to their students. Students have to find on their own for any opportunity. However, Dublin Business School will help you and guide you on how you can you find an internship opportunity.

It’s a good college with many students and lots of things for everyone to do.
Tips: Everyone is welcoming, open-minded and very helpful. We do have scholarships. I'm satisfied enough with it. My course is great I love it. Like I said everyone is really friendly so my transition has been great. There's a good mixture of culture and people from all over the world.
Likes (Public transportation): It's good sometimes not on time but we have loads of it. Student leap cars are available so it's cheap there are various modes of transport, the D-ART train bus. Cycling is also very common here. Since DBS is in the centre of the city there are plenty of bus stops around. And people also like to walk to and fro.
Dislikes (Internships): I don't know enough about it also I've heard from friends that it's hard to find internships. There's plenty of help in terms of finding internships. Lots of places to look for and apply to. But it still is hard to get an internship in Dublin as it is a competitive thing and sometimes companies don't offer internships.

Overall it is a good University and the faculty is supportive and helpful.
Tips: It is a good University and the lecturers are collaborative and always willing to help. Due to its presence in the City Center, the college is in a strategic position and allows for part time work easily. I had scholarships of 1000 Euros. I'm totally satisfied with my college and would recommend it.

DBS Dublin: Excellent transportation with average campus infrastructure.
Tips: The campus is fairly basic, not something you'd expect from a university abroad. Transportation is excellent from all parts of the city. They won't be providing scholarships worth more than 1000 Euros. DBS has 85-90% people from parts of India in master courses. If you like to indulge in different race and ethnicity to socialize, DBS isn't for you.

I had work experience but was still considered a fresher according to industry standards here.
Tips: Students coming here should understand which course they are going to study and what the course comprises of. They should have good knowledge of technologies used in that modules and languages and skills needed for that. It would be better if they have proper work experience in any available domains.
Likes (Public transportation): The college is located in Dublin city center and so it is connected to the rest of the city so well. The available public transportation are bus and luas. They are very cheap for students. All major things and outlets needed for students are available in city center and are so nearby to college campus and is connected through transport also.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Here in Dublin, Ireland there are many Indian restaurants available and also many cuisines that are similar to Indian taste. Prices are high when compared to other cuisines as they are giving Indian cuisine in Ireland. I prefer cooking myself as it saves a lot of money.

Average college with limited opportunities for freshers.
Tips: After moving here, there wasn't a cultural shift that happened but the self courage and the way of seeing things had changed a lot. I didn’t avail any scholarships. I’ll rate my college as average because I didn’t get any help regarding placements. I would recommend to analyse the job market and select the course.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market for freshers is not that good when compared to experienced person. The companies took candidates on a contract role for 1 or 2 years and then after the contract ends they let them out of the company. Salary package offered is around an average of 32000.
