DCU is good and I would recommend it to others.
Tips: It's a great school in a beautiful country with wonderful people. Students should know that it is important to learn about the ranking of the university and see if you're eligible for any scholarships at the initial stage after you receive your seat. Also, keep in mind that exploring the city during your course may be limited due to budget constraints.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at DCU are both helpful and approved making the academic experience more engaging and enriching. From the very beginning, professors are super helpful and committed to ensuring that students adapt well to the new academic environment. Initially, catching up can be quite challenging especially for those familiar teaching methods compare to back home. However, as time pass by, the process becomes more adaptable and manageable with the support of the faculty. Professors at DCU encourage us to participate actively in discussions and, collaboration and inclusive teaching atmosphere. The open discussions between professors and students are particularly engaging and interesting allowing us to exchange diverse perceptive. Faculty members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, which they share enthusiastically, inspiring students to think critically and be innovative. One of the most remarkable aspects of the faculty is their openness and accessibility. Whether it is during lectures, office hours or through emails, they are always willing to assist during working hours and provide guidance on assignments and projects. Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are limited, and the competition for the available positions is fierce. Off-campus employment opportunities are somewhat better, but it can take a while to find a suitable position. Personally, I have been able to manage my part-time work and studies, but I have less time for myself. The minimum wage here is 12.5.

Dublin City University has a fun campus and the student life here is amazing.
Tips: Dublin City University (DCU) is perfect for someone looking to pursue greater heights academically and in other fields like sports. They maintain an excellent standard for themselves. So far in my time at DCU, they have offered the best college experience compared to my previous University.
Likes (Student Life): My current campus offers many facilities that my previous university didn't, such as a pharmacy, a supermarket, designed space to eat, and a proper canteen. Additionally, we're kept well-informed about various events and activities through their engaging Instagram pages.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food available here is either overpriced or lacks authenticity, leaving me disappointed. Given the high cost and poor quality, I've realized that I could easily prepare the same dishes at home. Not only would it be more affordable, but it would also taste better.

Tips: Students should be aware that student life in Ireland is very different from that in India. While life here is amazing, students must be prepared to work hard to achieve a good life after graduation. The student life here is amazing. Students and teachers are really friendly and helpful with coursework. The lectures are amazing and I love the student life here. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the experiences.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are part-time opportunities, but most of them are already taken and the job postings are just for name sake and there are no proper responses from anyone. Everything happens with reference here and it is a bit difficult to get into so we have to try hard.

My experience at DCU was good, but I think the university could do more to help it.
Tips: Students should know that the transition will be heard as they move away from the safety of their home. The course has mostly Indians though, as I expected more diversity there. I got a scholarship of 2000 Euros for my course fee. The college can be rated as above average after TCD and UCD here in Dublin. It is a nice university, but the faculty could have been better, as a lot of new first-time professors in this January intake were here. Nonetheless, a lot of hard work and self-study are needed.

Good experience but a bad market with limited job.
Tips: At least have 2 years of experience otherwise, get some experience and come aboard. To get a scholarship you've to be an early applicant. It is completely random. Don't be shy to talk or ask questions. No one is going to judge you. People in the college are more friendly and make you feel more comfortable.
Likes (Part time work): Yow will land any part-time job. Visit directly to the place and talk to the manager about any available vacancy. This will increase your chance of landing a job. Don't apply online for a part-time job and wait for a reply. It never going to work like that.
Dislikes (Internships): There are no internship opportunities in Ireland. Here they prefer a graduate role. It's very rare to get an internship opportunity in Ireland. Since companies prefer a graduate role over an internship. It's limited in Ireland, as the majority of businesses focus on graduate employment.

Great transportation facility to explore the city, good University with strong academics.
Tips: Students should be aware of their program's prerequisites and the registration procedure when they attend DCU. Attend the campus resources orientation and seek assistance from student services. Keep track of your assignments and due dates. Join organizations and groups to get a well-rounded experience. If you don't reside on campus, schedule your commute.
Likes (Public transportation): Direct Bus: A direct bus service that connects DCU and Palmerstown may not exist. Dublin Bus, however, has several routes that can get you there. For instance, you might have to ride the bus from DCU to the city centre, where you'll need to change to another one that goes to Palmerstown. Routes: The 25, 66, and 67 are frequently used routes in the Palmerstown region. For comprehensive route information and real-time updates, visit the Dublin Bus website.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Like if you get a job then you will have to renew your stamp to 1G and from stamp 2 which is a student visa. After that if you get a job then you can get a critical skills visa that is stamp 1 directly after living for 2 years u are eligible for stamp 4.

Easy going, friendly environment with a big campus and a huge library.
Tips: Before joining this college students should check for scholarships. The people here are friendly and the professors are fantastic to work with. The course was kind of challenging but you get guidance from professors. It's a really small country and everyone knows each other moreover most of the people are friendly.
Likes (Student Life): The student union, fun events and there are Nubar to the hill as well. There are three different campuses and if you have a DCU ID you can stroll around during free time. Glasnevin campus is huge one St. Patrick's campus is the smallest. They do have cultural events too.
Dislikes (Internships): Not really, internships are pretty tough to get. I did not find any internships related to my course and as I have a good experience I focused more on getting a full time job. But if you can try your luck on LinkedIn to find internships or apprenticeships.

My experience at Dublin City University was wonderful and memorable.
Tips: Students should have some background knowledge about the course and how the job market is for those roles. I got a scholarship of 4000 based on my previous academic scores.
I did my master's completely online as I was in the Covid batch, for which I felt the fee was a bit high. The quality of teaching is very good and I’d recommend it to anybody.
Likes (Post study jobs): I got my job based on my previous experience. However, studying at this university was also an add-on advantage to getting a job. I have worked in two companies after graduation, both sponsored visas for work.
I working in automation testing and my salary was between 35-40k during the first year.
Dislikes (Safety): I have heard from my friends who live in that area that the locality is not very safe. Teenagers bully people and steal from them. I’ve also heard the neighbourhood is very quiet and some students find it difficult to walk alone at times.
Other than that the student accommodation is safe and friendly.

Excellent, approachable, helpful and friendly faculty that motivates us to do good.
Tips: You get to learn a lot of things when you are coming as an international student. There are cultural shifts and also there are many things here that are not the same as in India but we all get adjusted to those things easily. Overall, I am really satisfied.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Very approachable and friendly. Everything theoretical things are shown practically with live examples and also industrial experiences of professors help understand problems more deeply. The helping nature of the faculty motivates us to study and the strict faculty always keeps us on our toes.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The year 2024 is not too good for the job as there are many people and very few jobs. Ireland was not ready for this much intake which has caused trouble here. Very few companies are offering sponsorship and the salary is a minimum of 35,000 Euros per year.

No attendance, good online study portal, and fair grading system.
Tips: No attendance, going to college is optional which is a big plus. Good online study portal to access all the study material. All classroom lecture recordings are uploaded by lecturers and are available by the EOD on the online study portal and there is a fair marking system for assignments.
Likes (Safety): It is a good and safe university to study. However, the surrounding areas are very unsafe to live in. I would suggest upcoming students research more about the unsafe places in Dubin and get accommodation in good areas. Teenagers are causing a big problem in Ireland mainly in a few areas of Dublin. Some mob will come hit you and may cause you severe injuries, but still, you may not get help from anybody including the government and they won't even get punished by law. So choose a good area to live in and travel by bus and with friends mostly.
Dislikes (Internships): We have to apply to companies for internships or jobs. University won't bring any companies like how it happens in India. Some companies will come to the college to advertise their companies and during that time if there are any relevant companies we can ask them and check if there are any jobs available. If yes we have to apply through their company's careers page.

DCU has a great campus with helpful professors.
Tips: I didn't get any scholarship since I applied for this college before I finished my Bachelors. Had I applied it later I would have gotten at least a 2000 Euro scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the country and the courses they provides, the university also as a whole was very good and affordable when I came here.
Likes (Safety): Everything regarding safety is very good for me in this city. The only people who look down are the other Indians in this country since many carry on with an attitude. I don't like to speak to any other Indians except my friends since whenever I approached any other Indians they were rude to me initially.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I don't have a job at the moment since I require sponsorship to stay in this country but given a chance to permanent reside in the country, I would take that chance since it has greater benefits and is very lively. In the initial days I wanted to leave the country but as the time passes you get adjusted to it.

Amazing university, amazing faculty and a huge learning opportunity.
Tips: If someone is joining a technical course, they should be well rehearsed with the technology taught in the course as mostly everything is taught through applied principles. So one should prepare beforehand as it is going to be tough to study a STEM course here.
Likes (Internships): DCU gives opportunities for internships for under graduates and also for Masters. They give opportunities to take internships in their research programs. In my course Intel comes every year, they select 10 students for a job offer and also 3000 Euros scholarship.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is hard to get as it is expensive and if you cook yourself it will be better. It doesn't depend on the college you choose, for food, you have to learn cooking. Indian cooking material is easily available. Almost everything. For dosa lovers I would suggest bring dosa pan from India and bring cooker as well.

DCU - Exploring Excellence. Transportation is a challenge but overall, worth experiencing.
Tips: No doubt one will experience a cultural shift after coming to Ireland. However, it depends upon an individual how they want to groom themselves. I transition myself in a positive way by networking and increasing my knowledge. I also got a 2,000 EUR scholarship from my university basis my merit & SOP. I am quite satisfied with my journey in Ireland and would suggest everyone to come in here with an open mindset so that they are well prepared to face the initial challenges.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fee for the course is satisfactory. The faculty of the college is very supportive and provides guidance to the students whenever required. DCU provides real market knowledge to students that helps one to get a job and have an edge in the market.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Dublin's Public Transportation is a 3-star due to its mixed performance across various following aspects:
1. Accessibility & Coverage:
While major areas are well connected by buses, Luas and Arts certain suburban and rural areas experience limited-service frequency and connectivity. DCU (Dublin City University) is situated in North Dublin i. e. D9, thus its connectivity from City Center is good as we have 3 buses (155,4 and 13) each running at an interval of 10-15 minutes right from DCU main campus GATE. It takes 35 minutes from the city center to reach the college thus it is preferable, to stay near the campus at least till the college period.
2. Reliability & Punctuality:
Delays especially during the peak hours are not uncommon, leading to frustration. Also, it's worth mentioning that not all buses are 24*7, thus people find it difficult to commute post-midnight. Traffic can be witnessed during peak hours which delays transportation. Additionally, disruptions due to maintenance work or unforeseen circumstances further exacerbate the issue, often leaving the passengers seeking alternative modes of transportation.
3. Affordability & Value:
Dublin Transportation can be accessed through Leap cards which can be easily built for students from their college. DCU provides these supports and has thus proved to be very beneficial for me as they provided me with all the initial necessary guidance related to the leap card. The student leap card costs 1 EUR for one time travelling which is valid for 90 minutes while the normal taps on general leap cards cost 2 EUR per tap in.

Tips: The culture of the college and the lecture are all very different from what i experienced back in India. We have to take initiative if we want to study and pass without any backlogs. I had number of exams, group assignments and individual assignments as well. We cant Google and copy paste for the assignments, we have to do our own research with books and journals or else it will be considered as academic misconduct and they will fail us. The college is a good place but it is more academic friendly and strict, so you need to work hard to pass.

Great college but not value for money.
Tips: Culture is different, most people are friendly. Everyone get scholarships, I don't remember the allowance but everyone gets some good amount. Exposure is average, there are only Indians much, I expected people from all countries. They can work on diversity.
Likes (Value for money): I don't think it is value for money because the fees is too much and they don't provide many facilities on campus. Like there is no food stall, just a small coffee stall and drinks. The timing of classes is pathetic they keep 5 hours break which goes to waste. Mostly there are only 2 games football and table tennis, so I dont think the fees is justified
Dislikes (Internships): Not much guidance, everyone is concerned about teaching their course and running off. There is no help with jobs. There are a few guest lectures which only tell us how to apply for part-time still don't help.

Tips: Griffith college is not for the easy goer for sure as it is very particular in terms of attendance and academics. But if you manage to do both of them right, then the rest of the perks and benefits associated with the college will help you ease out your time here.
Likes (Quality of faculty): We have faculty members with years of experience working as board members and top-tier consultants for major brands. They also share quality resources and are helpful when needed. Although the classes here are fast-paced, faculty members take time to clarify doubts when asked.
Dislikes (Safety): The college is very safe and does not have any issues but the same can't be said about the city in general. It does not apply to all the places but sometimes it is recommended to stay alert in some areas especially in the evening regardless of whether you are a female or a male. I haven't personally experienced any safety issues here but I've heard people being attacked verbally/physically in secluded areas by "junkies".

Tips: At Griffith, there are more offline classes and it's a small college. Cork is a nice place I think everyone will get part-time jobs, it's not an issue. Come and enjoy. Here if you go outside you can't see that many Indians. But in college, most students are Indians.
Dislikes (Value for money): Other colleges will cost more so compared to them, the fee is low. We can enjoy here. Cork is a nice place. The course is somewhat difficult because, for those who don't have a mathematics background, it will be hard. But I am from a pharma background trying to adjust to the course.

Academically focused with a barrage of assignments for most weeks!
Tips: The transition was not difficult except for the changes in your natural environment and the normal differences you experience in terms of accommodation. The weather is not very friendly and the culinary changes.
I did get a scholarship of around 30% for securing 80% in my 10th and 12th board exams.
Very satisfied with the course, even better than some of the premier colleges in the country. But it does not stand true for all courses. The drawback might be a lack of campus recruitment but it is the same problem for most colleges in the country.
Likes (Safety): There are CCTV cameras all around the campus. Even late-night studies at the campus are worth it considering that the security is still online.
Overall people are friendly and are very respectful.
The cost of living has gone up significantly over the last few years.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The campus could be a little tricky to get to if you are not residing in and around the city centre or along the route to reach the campus. As there are lots of Indian societies and communities, it wasn't as hard as I imagined to make new friends. I was very satisfied with my university and my course. The weather is a bit hard sometimes but it is adaptable.

Tips: The college provides scholarships to eligible students but one has to explore jobs right from the very first day to be matched with skills. Otherwise too late to pick skills after graduation. Grifith is more active in marketing and journalism. IT is not a very good department for placement.
Likes (Safety): It has an accommodation facility which is very safe and secure inside the campus. Outside people are very friendly and safe to get along with. If you lose your belongings they are kept in safe custody and returned to you. Once I lost a gold item and was returned to me after two days by a receptionist.
Dislikes (Part time work): Covid outbreak didn't allow much outgoing. I didn't get many jobs to earn a side income. Also, there is no job on campus and no placement cell for supporting students while studying. Average pay is low around 10.5 euros for part-time jobs. Attendance is very strict so not possible to work while studying.

Transition and to cultural shift I adjusted well after coming here, only experiencing minor cultural shifts in daily life and social norms. I received a scholarship based on academic achievements, covering tuition and providing a monthly allowance, which eased financial concerns. I'm highly satisfied with my college, the course content is engaging, and I enjoy the cultural diversity in the country.
Likes (Part time work): I rated 5 for part-time work because there's a wide range of opportunities available. On-campus jobs are available, and you will find a diverse selection of off-campus opportunities in the surrounding area as well. Part-time work is manageable with academics. The average payout varies but is generally competitive.
Dislikes (Internships): I rated 3 on internships due to limited availability. Moderate guidance, but relevance to my field varies. I recently embarked on a quest to secure an internship in the lively city of Dublin, Ireland. Regrettably, my efforts didn't yield the desired results, prompting my 3-star rating. Despite the challenges in finding an internship, Dublin itself remains a captivating city, rich in culture and opportunities. My rating is a reflection of my personal experience and not a judgment on this vibrant destination. Keep exploring, and you may discover the perfect opportunity that eluded me.

Tips: Good location in between city center, cost of living is very high but if yoy find part time it manageable, other facilities are great, classrooms are big and well-equipped and staff is lso friendly and good. Mutli cultural student from different part of the world. Everyone is very friendly.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Good cillege and good faculty only they don't help in getting placement the course. But easy country to get into if you want permanent residence to move to Europe. Once you get PR you can apply for Passport and travel around Europe and western countries.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Need to find critical skilled job and have to work for 3 years to get permanent residence. Then it is very easy to get Irish passport. Overall very good country to move too. Also very easy to move to UK once you complete your studies. Would Recommend if things are not working for Canada or Australia.

It has a good reputation in the market. It is the only English-speaking country currently in the EU and taxes are lower and all big tech companies are here in Ireland.
Likes (Value for money): A cheaper and better option than the UK, USA, Australia and Canada. Plus they provide a one-year master's programme in all fields. Just after one year you can enter the market and work professionally. Plus all the big tech companies are here in Ireland so jobs are easily available.
Dislikes (Part time work): Easily available in Dublin city for students, you can work as a part timer in the supermarket, event company or security job are easily available. This is sufficient for your rent and monthly groceries plus you can save some amount which you can send it back home or enjoy because Ireland has a lot of sightseeing and good nightlife.

Tips: I know about 15 students before joining in my course through the campus connect app which is one great news for students. To know who your classmates are, and who will be sharing the same class throughout masters is helpful. This helps students to know each other before starting up their classes which I think is a good sign of interaction beforehand.
Likes (Quality of faculty): There is no compromise on faculty teaching standards. They are top class and most of them were PhD holders and have sound experience. Each and every professor gives us the most valuable time when we need it. They have very strong practical knowledge and work experience in their relevant field.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): We all know currently we are hit with Covid19 and Russia and Ukrine war. There was major impact on many sectors so directly or indirectly on students who are looking for post study jobs at this point in time. So this is one of the most important point taken into consideration on post study jobs in current situation throughput the globe not only limited to Griffith College or Ireland.

Dislikes (Public transportation): Griffith College's campus is well connected to the rest of the city, making it easy to get around Dublin. Buses frequently run near the campus, connecting it to major parts of the city, and there's a reliable network that makes computing straightforward. Public transport costs around 1 Euro one-way, so it costs 2 Euros in total. Moreover, you can travel for 90 minutes once you swipe your leap card.

Tips: I am adjusting quite well, though the cultural shift required adapting to different communication style and academic expectations. I got a 2000 Euros scholarship because of my good grades. Overall, I am satisfied with the university, course content, and opportunities in the country as everything aligns with my career goals.
Likes (Indian Food): I rated 5 because of Indian food as there are plenty of food options from my home country available, including Indian grocery stores and restaurants, making it easy to access familiar cuisine. I prefer cooking myself as it's healthier, more budget-friendly and allows me to enjoy traditional dishes from my home country. While I do enjoy eating out occasionally to try different cuisines, cooking at home gives me control over ingredients and helps balance cost with quality.
Dislikes (Part time work): Rated 4 on Part-time work because on-campus jobs are limited, but off-campus opportunities in retail and hospitality are available. Balancing part-time work with academics is manageable with good time management. The average payout for part-time work is around 13 Euros per hour.

Good learning opportunity but it is up to you how you utilize it.
Tips: It is upon the students how they want to utilise the facilities provided. There would not be any spoonfeeding. The staff is friendly but you need to study to get grades. Create contacts, explore opportunities and work towards your ultimate goals. It is a good place if you are with the right mindset.
Likes (Public transportation): The connectivity is good but there is scope for improvement due to traffic delays. The buses are usually on time except during peak hours. But the routes are very elaborate so it would take much longer to reach a place than when travelling in a car. There is wifi on buses which is great.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The market is crashing and the ratio of genuine job openings and people looking for jobs is very unbalanced. The most common problem for immigrants is to find a job that sponsors them or lets people self-sponsor, for them to continue staying and working in Ireland. There are a lot of contract jobs but very few permanent ones.

Likes (Indian Food): European culture food options are available and you should be able to experience a wide variety of food culture in Ireland nothing. The main ingredients are mashed potatoes, sauce ages and everything we have. Egg and bread toast and cheese butter are also provided.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Some companies are ready to take freshers and some companies are looking for experienced people in the same country. Usually accounts related packages are available to be free enough to apply and receive and prepare ATS-friendly resumes for further help, and recruiters are recruiting based on skills also.
