Dublin City University has a strong curriculum and highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Students should have a strong background in what they want to do after graduation. Without any experience in your chosen field, it's difficult to get a job here, especially for undergrad students. Also, students should develop some knowledge of programming, as the staff here doesn't go into enough detail before assigning assignments or dissertations. The campus is clean and has everything a student needs for their studies and activities. The teaching faculty is average, and you'll find all types of professors here. Some will be supportive, while others may not care. Overall, it's a fantastic campus that provides a variety of opportunities to help students expand their horizons.
Dislikes (Safety): I came to Ireland from another country. When I got here, I was accosted by a group of children who tried to steal my headphones. I was surprised and upset by their behaviour. I tried to reason with them, but they were intent on taking my headphones. I called the police, but they refused to do anything because the children were minors.

DCU is good and I would recommend it to others.
Tips: It's a great school in a beautiful country with wonderful people. Students should know that it is important to learn about the ranking of the university and see if you're eligible for any scholarships at the initial stage after you receive your seat. Also, keep in mind that exploring the city during your course may be limited due to budget constraints.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at DCU are both helpful and approved making the academic experience more engaging and enriching. From the very beginning, professors are super helpful and committed to ensuring that students adapt well to the new academic environment. Initially, catching up can be quite challenging especially for those familiar teaching methods compare to back home. However, as time pass by, the process becomes more adaptable and manageable with the support of the faculty. Professors at DCU encourage us to participate actively in discussions and, collaboration and inclusive teaching atmosphere. The open discussions between professors and students are particularly engaging and interesting allowing us to exchange diverse perceptive. Faculty members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, which they share enthusiastically, inspiring students to think critically and be innovative. One of the most remarkable aspects of the faculty is their openness and accessibility. Whether it is during lectures, office hours or through emails, they are always willing to assist during working hours and provide guidance on assignments and projects. Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are limited, and the competition for the available positions is fierce. Off-campus employment opportunities are somewhat better, but it can take a while to find a suitable position. Personally, I have been able to manage my part-time work and studies, but I have less time for myself. The minimum wage here is 12.5.

Dublin City University has a fun campus and the student life here is amazing.
Tips: Dublin City University (DCU) is perfect for someone looking to pursue greater heights academically and in other fields like sports. They maintain an excellent standard for themselves. So far in my time at DCU, they have offered the best college experience compared to my previous University.
Likes (Student Life): My current campus offers many facilities that my previous university didn't, such as a pharmacy, a supermarket, designed space to eat, and a proper canteen. Additionally, we're kept well-informed about various events and activities through their engaging Instagram pages.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food available here is either overpriced or lacks authenticity, leaving me disappointed. Given the high cost and poor quality, I've realized that I could easily prepare the same dishes at home. Not only would it be more affordable, but it would also taste better.

Tips: Students should be aware that student life in Ireland is very different from that in India. While life here is amazing, students must be prepared to work hard to achieve a good life after graduation. The student life here is amazing. Students and teachers are really friendly and helpful with coursework. The lectures are amazing and I love the student life here. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the experiences.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are part-time opportunities, but most of them are already taken and the job postings are just for name sake and there are no proper responses from anyone. Everything happens with reference here and it is a bit difficult to get into so we have to try hard.

My experience at DCU was good, but I think the university could do more to help it.
Tips: Students should know that the transition will be heard as they move away from the safety of their home. The course has mostly Indians though, as I expected more diversity there. I got a scholarship of 2000 Euros for my course fee. The college can be rated as above average after TCD and UCD here in Dublin. It is a nice university, but the faculty could have been better, as a lot of new first-time professors in this January intake were here. Nonetheless, a lot of hard work and self-study are needed.

Good experience but a bad market with limited job.
Tips: At least have 2 years of experience otherwise, get some experience and come aboard. To get a scholarship you've to be an early applicant. It is completely random. Don't be shy to talk or ask questions. No one is going to judge you. People in the college are more friendly and make you feel more comfortable.
Likes (Part time work): Yow will land any part-time job. Visit directly to the place and talk to the manager about any available vacancy. This will increase your chance of landing a job. Don't apply online for a part-time job and wait for a reply. It never going to work like that.
Dislikes (Internships): There are no internship opportunities in Ireland. Here they prefer a graduate role. It's very rare to get an internship opportunity in Ireland. Since companies prefer a graduate role over an internship. It's limited in Ireland, as the majority of businesses focus on graduate employment.

Tips: Before joining Dublin City University (DCU), students should understand the course structure, campus facilities and the cost of living in Dublin. Could have been better, faculty needs to work upon how to teach.
Tips: It’s all good, just work hard. Keep asking if you have any doubts or queries as you have paid for the knowledge and not to listen “figure it out” and ask questions like you are a 5-year-old. Believe in yourself and have fun living abroad.

Great transportation facility to explore the city, good University with strong academics.
Tips: Students should be aware of their program's prerequisites and the registration procedure when they attend DCU. Attend the campus resources orientation and seek assistance from student services. Keep track of your assignments and due dates. Join organizations and groups to get a well-rounded experience. If you don't reside on campus, schedule your commute.
Likes (Public transportation): Direct Bus: A direct bus service that connects DCU and Palmerstown may not exist. Dublin Bus, however, has several routes that can get you there. For instance, you might have to ride the bus from DCU to the city centre, where you'll need to change to another one that goes to Palmerstown. Routes: The 25, 66, and 67 are frequently used routes in the Palmerstown region. For comprehensive route information and real-time updates, visit the Dublin Bus website.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Like if you get a job then you will have to renew your stamp to 1G and from stamp 2 which is a student visa. After that if you get a job then you can get a critical skills visa that is stamp 1 directly after living for 2 years u are eligible for stamp 4.

Easy going, friendly environment with a big campus and a huge library.
Tips: Before joining this college students should check for scholarships. The people here are friendly and the professors are fantastic to work with. The course was kind of challenging but you get guidance from professors. It's a really small country and everyone knows each other moreover most of the people are friendly.
Likes (Student Life): The student union, fun events and there are Nubar to the hill as well. There are three different campuses and if you have a DCU ID you can stroll around during free time. Glasnevin campus is huge one St. Patrick's campus is the smallest. They do have cultural events too.
Dislikes (Internships): Not really, internships are pretty tough to get. I did not find any internships related to my course and as I have a good experience I focused more on getting a full time job. But if you can try your luck on LinkedIn to find internships or apprenticeships.

My experience at Dublin City University was wonderful and memorable.
Tips: Students should have some background knowledge about the course and how the job market is for those roles. I got a scholarship of 4000 based on my previous academic scores.
I did my master's completely online as I was in the Covid batch, for which I felt the fee was a bit high. The quality of teaching is very good and I’d recommend it to anybody.
Likes (Post study jobs): I got my job based on my previous experience. However, studying at this university was also an add-on advantage to getting a job. I have worked in two companies after graduation, both sponsored visas for work.
I working in automation testing and my salary was between 35-40k during the first year.
Dislikes (Safety): I have heard from my friends who live in that area that the locality is not very safe. Teenagers bully people and steal from them. I’ve also heard the neighbourhood is very quiet and some students find it difficult to walk alone at times.
Other than that the student accommodation is safe and friendly.

Excellent, approachable, helpful and friendly faculty that motivates us to do good.
Tips: You get to learn a lot of things when you are coming as an international student. There are cultural shifts and also there are many things here that are not the same as in India but we all get adjusted to those things easily. Overall, I am really satisfied.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Very approachable and friendly. Everything theoretical things are shown practically with live examples and also industrial experiences of professors help understand problems more deeply. The helping nature of the faculty motivates us to study and the strict faculty always keeps us on our toes.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The year 2024 is not too good for the job as there are many people and very few jobs. Ireland was not ready for this much intake which has caused trouble here. Very few companies are offering sponsorship and the salary is a minimum of 35,000 Euros per year.

No attendance, good online study portal, and fair grading system.
Tips: No attendance, going to college is optional which is a big plus. Good online study portal to access all the study material. All classroom lecture recordings are uploaded by lecturers and are available by the EOD on the online study portal and there is a fair marking system for assignments.
Likes (Safety): It is a good and safe university to study. However, the surrounding areas are very unsafe to live in. I would suggest upcoming students research more about the unsafe places in Dubin and get accommodation in good areas. Teenagers are causing a big problem in Ireland mainly in a few areas of Dublin. Some mob will come hit you and may cause you severe injuries, but still, you may not get help from anybody including the government and they won't even get punished by law. So choose a good area to live in and travel by bus and with friends mostly.
Dislikes (Internships): We have to apply to companies for internships or jobs. University won't bring any companies like how it happens in India. Some companies will come to the college to advertise their companies and during that time if there are any relevant companies we can ask them and check if there are any jobs available. If yes we have to apply through their company's careers page.

DCU has a great campus with helpful professors.
Tips: I didn't get any scholarship since I applied for this college before I finished my Bachelors. Had I applied it later I would have gotten at least a 2000 Euro scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the country and the courses they provides, the university also as a whole was very good and affordable when I came here.
Likes (Safety): Everything regarding safety is very good for me in this city. The only people who look down are the other Indians in this country since many carry on with an attitude. I don't like to speak to any other Indians except my friends since whenever I approached any other Indians they were rude to me initially.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I don't have a job at the moment since I require sponsorship to stay in this country but given a chance to permanent reside in the country, I would take that chance since it has greater benefits and is very lively. In the initial days I wanted to leave the country but as the time passes you get adjusted to it.

Amazing university, amazing faculty and a huge learning opportunity.
Tips: If someone is joining a technical course, they should be well rehearsed with the technology taught in the course as mostly everything is taught through applied principles. So one should prepare beforehand as it is going to be tough to study a STEM course here.
Likes (Internships): DCU gives opportunities for internships for under graduates and also for Masters. They give opportunities to take internships in their research programs. In my course Intel comes every year, they select 10 students for a job offer and also 3000 Euros scholarship.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is hard to get as it is expensive and if you cook yourself it will be better. It doesn't depend on the college you choose, for food, you have to learn cooking. Indian cooking material is easily available. Almost everything. For dosa lovers I would suggest bring dosa pan from India and bring cooker as well.

NTU is a great place for international students especially for beginners with no experiences.
Tips: M.Sc. Cyber Security is a niche course and the ones who have experience in this field might find the course fairly basic. The faculty is okay, facilities are at par like all the UK universities. Book your accommodation before coming here for sure, and look for part time asap. Get onboard with agencies I've shared above and research on more to get part time work. If possible, take education from a bigger city like Glasgow since they've great part time opportunities and a better city life compared to Nottingham.
Likes (Safety): Nottingham City Council has taken appropriate measures to ensure the safety of the residents. All the buses and public transport have CCTV and generally the streets are crowded and giving students a sense of belonging and not making them feel lonely much.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are spare off campus opportunities and the on campus ones are few too. However, one can work with agencies like Hap, Constellation, Liquor Collectively, ARC, PSG, G4S, etc. To get shift based zero hour contact work. Indeed works well but I personally haven't gotten much luck here. However, with the above agencies, I've been working 20 hours/week give or take and it suffices my monthly expenses and helps in saving money as well.

Tips: Nottingham Trent is a good University to attend. It is also one of the safest cities. People here are very much friendly with international students. Tips: You get to learn skills like management, finance, studying all by yourself, work-life balance, making friends, responsible behaviour, leadership skills, and work-related skills. Basically, after coming here you learn to work hard. In short, you learn to be independent through all modes.
Likes (Public transportation): The city has well connected public transport, one of the bus routes directly connects the city from within the campus, and other routes are available just outside the campus, so good transportation. Apart from this, there is a train station nearby which connects the city with the rest of the UK.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The restaurants mainly serve food which is very expensive and also do not have the same Indian spice taste as it is available in India. I prefer cooking by myself. The food available here is good but not as per Indian spice and taste, it's more towards boiled food.

Tips: It might be a bit overwhelming in the start because of the many changes. You gradually get used to it as you make friends. Big cultural shift, different weather, different food etc. Scholarships are available at NTU, but on a first come first serve basis, so you need to apply for them as soon as possible. Very satisfied with my course and university.
Likes (Indian Food): The restaurants in Nottingham are varied ranging from north and south foods to famous foods from a lot of different cities. Everyone has their own preference, personally prefer cooking at home while also eating out or getting takeaways at least once a week.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty in my department are very accessible and approachable. You can contact them through phone, email or teams. We have a fair amount of practical implementation of every module studied with a report deliverable at the end assessing the understanding of students.

Dislikes (Public transportation): I haven't used public transport much, I rarely used to travel out, so I am not very familiar how the actual frequency of transportation is. However, to the extent I have travelled, it was not bad. And there were buses even late at night and it felt safe to travel.

An experience of lifetime.
Tips: The university is very beautiful and lively. There are various events taking place in various areas of campus. They provide various facilities as well. The professors are very helpful and supportive. You get to participate in various events every week and make new friends.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is quite easy and convenient especially if you live a bit far from the city. Although it gets quite expensive if you have to travel every day but if you work part-time, it's manageable. There are specific timing and routes you can look for while traveling. This especially helps if you're a newbie in the city.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There aren't many opportunities for placements as the number of students is increasing. Also, another reason might be the recent recession due to covid. The university doesn't help students in every aspect even if they take their sandwich year.

My happy place. Nottingham is one of the safest cities.
Tips: Be ready for the submissions. Don't wait for the last minute rush. The teaching method is totally different here. They do 3 weeks of studies and 1 week of assessment. My course has 7 modules and each module has a written exam as well as a report. Make sure that you do not mess with plagiarism. They are pretty strict with this thing.
Likes (Safety): Nottingham is one of the safest cities. We have police everywhere and the people are friendly as well. Avoid going to shady places at night and try not to interact with any homeless person at night, otherwise it is safe. I have been out till 5-6 AM in the morning.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The British food is pathetic and you are going to crave for the Indian food. You will get all the masala though the food won't taste the same as it does in India. Avoid McDonald and KFC as they are not good here. You will always have to cook by yourself. Indian restaurants are there but they will not be healthy for you on a daily basis.
