Newcastle University provides great student life and friendly campus.
Tips: I got a scholarship directly from the university, which was a huge help. The professors are very nice and teach very well. They are willing to help anybody you just need to reach out to them. The university organizes many activities for students, which is great. It includes sports and activities, seminars, etc. Try to participate in them and build connections. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course, college and the country.

Tips: Before you join this college, do your research on the university and the city where you'll be studying. Find out about the job opportunities, and connect with the college alumni on LinkedIn. Start applying for part-time and full-time graduate or postgraduate roles as soon as possible.
Likes (Public transportation): There is good connectivity between buses and metro throughout the city and the fares are reasonable. If you want to get somewhere faster, you can always hail a cab. If you live close to the university or city centre, you can easily walk to many places. I have never faced any issues with travelling so far.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time jobs are hard to come by because there are a lot of students from Newcastle University and Northumbria University applying for the same jobs. To get a job, you need to be smart and have good interpersonal skills. It is also a good idea to start applying for jobs as soon as you settle into your accommodation.

The university is a great value for money with such talented and knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: I came from India, and I found the cultural differences to be quite drastic. The education system here is very different from India. However, I did receive the standard 2000 scholarship from Newcastle University. I found the people here to be very chill and friendly. I would advise new students to not be afraid to ask questions, as there are always people willing to help. The professors are extremely friendly and the faculty is very good. They will motivate you to succeed in your studies.
Likes (Value for money): The professors for my modules are very good. They are friendly and provide all the necessary information if a student has doubts. The fee for my course is definitely justified because the environment of study that this university provides for us is outstanding. Our lectures are mostly in Urban Sciences, Fredrick Douglass & Herschel Building. Urban Sciences Building is 10/10, the Fredrick Douglass Building is 8/10, and the Herschel Building is 7/10. Other than that, the university ambience is quite peaceful, and the staff is very welcoming.
Dislikes (Indian Food): As a student, you don't have much time to cook for yourself. Eating outside will cost you. Because of this, you will be more inclined towards eating good food less frequently. From my experience, I still haven't found any good and affordable place to get Indian food. I have tried 'Dhabe Wale's Aloo Paratha but it wasn't that good. It cost me around 6 pounds with Lassi.

Tips: The food options are not very appetizing. Also, the cultural shift from living at home to living on campus can be difficult. However, the university provides support through the accommodation and induction programs. Also, the vice-chancellor international scholarship offers financial assistance of 4000 pounds. The faculty are very accessible and approachable. They foster a supportive learning environment through open communication. The teaching faculty is diverse. I am quite satisfied with the course at Newcastle University.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportation is cheaper compared to other cities, and the campus is well connected to the city via the Tyne and Wear metro. Haymarket station is nearby and offers frequent services to the suburbs and the airport.

The city has a friendly local community that makes international students feel welcome. People are generally approachable and helpful.
Dislikes (Part time work): While part-time work opportunities are available, they can be competitive and vary in accessibility depending on the campus and location. The work experience gained is valuable, but balancing it with academics can sometimes be challenging. Tips: Students should first know that it is going to be a huge cultural shift in terms of education and living. They have different grading styles and a lot of group projects. Even the exams are grade different than in India. Keywords and on-point are preferable rather than filling up the page. Scholarships are hard to get but very educative. They can help you financially as well if you can secure one. Scholarships are usually fewer in number so highly competitive but many international students get that if they can submit compelling essay. Overall experience was average because the UK market is competitive in terms of securing full-time jobs in your area. College does have many fair but it is tough for Masters courses when you don't have enough experience.
Likes (Public transportation): Newcastle has very good connectivity in terms of bus and metro. There would be a lot of options available all the time specifically towards the University which is right in the city centre. So for each ride, it costs you 2 pounds on the bus. But there are several cheaper ticket options available where you can take a monthly or weekly bus pass for that particular zone and can travel an infinite number of times. The secret part that not many know is that the university provides a bus pass to students for free travel. You just have to mail them and they will send you a coupon code to avail of that. It is valid throughout your university time.
Dislikes (Part time work): In the beginning, we went to many job fairs that represented us with part-time jobs in university but those were extremely competitive and applications would be in 1000's against very few openings. Part-time jobs are manageable in terms you being flexible and willing to work after classes and ready to work on weekends. Weekends are a good option to manage both expenses and your studies. The average payout right now is 11.44 GBP per hour which is quite decent for expenses every month if you can work the full 20 hours per week.

The university provides very less internship and job opportunities.
Tips: Job opportunities in this city after completing your Master's or Bachelor's from the university are fewer and you might need to consider another city for better job roles, especially in Management and consulting. Your college tenure would be eventful, hectic and engaging, hence you would never notice the Emptiness of the City. In fact, I would also say that most UK nationals consider this City to be their Post-Retirement PLAN since it's muted and almost dead, especially in the winter. So you might have to rethink if you're looking for a flashy, happening or crowded city. I never knew about the Winter Depression before moving to Newcastle but it is for real. It gets Chillier up to -12 degrees Celsius, super windy and lonely during winters, which feels like never-ending. At last, it is a research based University. It is decent for studying Masters, so I would recommend it for Post-graduation, & also Newcastle as a City can be considered for a year or two courses. Still, Bachelors from here would be worthless and a complete waste of time.
Likes (Safety): I felt safe in Newcastle upon Tyne. The local people were nice and sweet. The city is not heavily populated, which contributes to the feeling of safety. Geordies are super fun and helpful. You can actually walk down the street as late as midnight or even longer, you would never feel unsafe or comfortable.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I wouldn't want to live here since I don't like the weather here and it is mostly on the colder side which is kind of depressing in the long run. Over the UK I would definitely prefer the climate of India to live, as it feels lively, happening and eventful in India.

Tips: It was quite a good experience as it was my first time experiencing education at an international level. Newcastle upon Tyne is a beautiful and student-friendly city. Most of the students got a scholarship worth 34000. The job market in Europe including the UK is stagnant right now. You are more likely to get a job if you have relevant industrial skills along with work experience. Great work experience + skills will get you a job.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at the institution are quite helpful and possess good knowledge of their respective subjects. They are approachable and willing to assist students in resolving their doubts or queries that may arise. In the end, what matters most is how focused you are towards your goals.
Dislikes (Internships): The Master's programme is of 1 year duration so it is quite difficult to get an internship. Also, the Student Visa allows you to work for 20 hours/ week. You can work more during term time but it is hardly 1 month. So, getting an internship is a struggle.

Tips: Newcastle is best for M.Sc in microelectronics. The university provides lots of support and exercises for the job interviews. The teaching quality is so good and you will feel like you are studying exactly what you want. Few subjects only have assignments while some have exams.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculties are very nice and teaching is so good. Professors help us with every thing and they try to answer all our questions. One can ask professors to join research assistant position. One can also approach them for publication and PhD opportunity. They also provide recorded classes.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships in microelectronics course are very less. Internship depends on the course that one chooses. This is as per my knowledge. Internships are difficult to find. If one gets an internship then it becomes a heavy load to manage. The university provides career services wherein one can find jobs and internships.

Tips: The city has a great vibe and is very friendly. The Newcastle United Football Club has the best supporters in the world, and their passion is great to watch. I loved the city, the university, and the people, and I know I will miss them all when I graduate.
Likes (Indian Food): Newcastle has a lot to offer, including great food at affordable prices. There are many Indian, Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese restaurants within walking distance of campus. There's also a small Chinatown.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of getting sponsorship for a post-study visa are very rare. This is true for all of the UK. However, if you are only planning to live in the country for a short time, it is not a bad option. Skilled workers have better chances of getting sponsorship.

Beautiful campus, and great faculty. A huge library and a great student support team.
Tips: Prefer to stay on the University campus, it is easy to attend classes and you will not be disturbed by the unnecessary hustle-bustle of landlords. Please be prepared with your finance (university fees + at least 6 months of expenses) and do not rely on getting this sorted with a part-time job.
Likes (Safety): The City of Norwich is safe and peaceful with ample security, and almost zero crime rate and you even girls will not hesitate to walk even on the dark road at 2 AM. Transportation is available till midnight and it is easy to commute from one place to another.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Getting sponsorship post-PSW is a challenge as it becomes difficult for organisations to prove your worth, especially for general courses like engineering and management. PSW is for two years and you need to prove your worth in that period to get the sponsorship. The research field has better chances for settlement.

Likes (Internships): You get jobs and networking opportunities easily. Also, if you are smart and have a good command over language then you can really establish yourself. Make sure to come here with good written, spoken and listening skills in the language as it is helpful.
Dislikes (Public transportation): At night, it is difficult to travel. There are very limited travel options, however, if you rent or have an electric scooter then it becomes easy for you. A taxi is expensive, however, the bus is convenient for that travel until midnight. Otherwise, rail transport is also good.

Good university to study in UK for masters
Tips: I got the M.Sc. training scholarship which was partially funded and I received a waiver of 5000 GBP on my tuition fee. There are many scholarships meritorious students can even get 10000 pounds off depending on luck as well. I like this university and everyone is helpful. Faculty and student bodies are all good.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation has no problems. Single line system and inter-changing is not required. I prefer the bus to go to my college as my accommodation is not far. I have gone to London, it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to reach there by train. It is also very cheap which I like but not that much as compared to some other European countries.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university has many jobs but I don't know why they do not give it to students who are already studying there. In other universities, students get the job but here they bring others to do it and not the students which I didn't like. Outside the college jobs are available, hourly rate is 12 pounds don't work for something less than as some students have been made to feel foolish.

UEA Norwich, UK - A hidden gem for students
Tips: Be open to meet students from other countries and cultures, respect other people's space and don't forget to socialize. There are multiple scholarships and grants available which are not very hard to avail. I'm fairly satisfied with the course structure and had a really good time at university and Norwich is a quite peaceful and green city. On-campus lake is a big plus.
Likes (Safety): Student union is there for any other issues, local people are quite friendly and I personally never had any safety issues or never heard of any security-related issues from anyone around. Norwich is a quite safe and scenic city, the cost is nearby and often it costs 32 to get to the beach which is quite cheap over there. You will find people very friendly towards Indians and Indian food. If you know how to cook, you can make friends very easily. There is a strong drinking culture there but still safe for everyone. There are frequent awareness programs for students to prevent any non-international harassment.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Currently UK is not in a good phase and not providing a lot of sponsored jobs, value of university is good though. I'm currently working in India because of my personal circumstances but you can definitely move and live in the UK. Just don't forget to skill up and go for practical knowledge. Books and exams give us the foundation but it takes more than that to get a good job.

Overall a good university and great support
Tips: It is better to stay on campus accommodation as you will have update regarding what is happening in the university. A lot of activities are conducted to bring unity. The only problem is for the vegetarians as there are not many options available. Also, it is advised to study the module details and try to reach out to any seniors who studied the same course.
Likes (Public transportation): Bus accessibility is high. Till late at night we have access. 2 buses run from the university to the city centre which is at very high frequency. Cab services are highly priced so it's better to avoid that. University is not far from the market place and everything is available on the campus.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The expectations from the students at least in technical jobs are quite high. Initially, we will find it difficult as the system is new to us. But building a network helps you get and survive in the jobs. You need to have strong knowledge to get a job here.

Tips: Students should know about their coursework as well as placements prospects of the field. Apart from that they should check about course curri and exam pattern which will be helpful for students as the exams here are different from the ones in India. The library is also 24/7 365 days available. You can book a private room also in the library to study. My overall experience is good and satisfied with this college.
Likes (Part time work): Avg Payout : 11 GBP. Depend on your job and company and sometimes on a bank holiday you will get double payment. Go to career central and apply for part job. It is very easy to manage and mostly you should prefer Sunday weekend shift. So part time jobs are easily available.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Less possibilities at this moment as per the government rules and regulations. About PR, it will take more than 5 to 7 years. So in the country PR chances are very less. But if you get some good opportunity then might be good to get PR. So during the study you have to focus on study and once you get a good job and the company will offer you sponsorship then your chances of PR will increase.

Tips: It's better to know everything before and I don't think UEA is a bad option. I would strongly recommend it to upcoming students. Students need to know about the place where the university is so that they can get to understand the job opportunities over here.
Likes (Safety): Norwich ranks in top 5 cities in the UK. Wherever you go you can go safely and return back, people are very free with us and helpful, and the university has safety support and they care about everything. Which makes us feel that we are safe and protected. The university accommodation is also safe.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer eating Indian food but we barely get Indian groceries. And it's very expensive country but still, it's fine, if we can manage to cook. Few Indian groceries are available so we can get some time to cook and have good food. Sometimes we can try new cuisines outside.

College life is nice and it is fun to be a part of UEA
Tips: Culture is different here but you will learn all the things. You might have to struggle for a job in the initial days but if you are serious, you are gonna fetch the job. I got an Indian scholarship of 34,000. Overall the study is nice but you have to do a lot of research to complete your assignments.

Our university is very supportive and friendly. University has very good name locally and overall.
Tips: I faced a bit of a cultural shift after coming here like food, dress, language and many more.
I got a standard scholarship for Indians which was fixed and if you are an Indian you will get the scholarship by default.
I'm really happy with the university and the course which I'm doing and after a few months I really started liking this country and the city.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I would prefer to settle here as I started liking this city a lot and I will be getting two years of post-graduation work permit. Hence there are chances to get settled over here. There are a lot of job opportunities available here in this country. Also, the university is supportive of us if we apply to their career centre.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Even though food option is less we get all kind of grocery so particularly we won't miss much.
There are few restaurants from our country of origin like Namasthe Village restaurant charge more than market price but the quality of food is authentic.
I prefer cooking myself to eating outside as it's too expensive and less option for vegetarians.

Tips: University of East Anglia is a reputable institution that provides students with a range of academic, social and professional opportunities. By understanding what UAE has to offer students can make an informed decision about whether it is the right university.
Likes (Indian Food): There are many retail shops that sell Indian-origin or Asian food in Norwich. As well as restaurants owned by Indian or South Asian people are very popular like; Namaste Village, Spice valley. Here one can get vegetarian and non-vegetarian options easily.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transport in some areas is not convenient or accessible enough to travel regularly. This is due to infrequent services and longer wait times. A major concern is that most of the routes connect via the city centre and one needs to change the bus at the city centre.

Good university for studies and I really enjoy the university life.
Tips: I am satisfied with the university and the city. The teaching is really great. The university is more focused on academics. Very satisfied with the faculty and facilities. The facilities that we have is so advanced it meets international standards. University also meets all the security standards.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All faculty members are good and friendly. We can approach them any time we want. All facilities are available in the university itself. AccesOboe is so easy and good. There are so many good facilities at the university.
Dislikes (Value for money): I think the fee is fairly enough. The college also provides the necessary facilities.
The faculty members are so good and talented to demonstrate all the topics with real-time scenarios. University is up to date with the latest technology in the educational system. Also, have transport facilities.

Good for studying. Build a network by attending all sessions.
Tips: The college will help you in building your resume and with interview preparation. Norwich doesn't have many opportunities but it provides a peaceful environment. The location of the university plays a major role, and UEA has a sound environment.

Nice place with welcoming people
Tips: Be ready to adapt to a new culture. People are nice and welcoming but you have to be careful of the surroundings. As small incidents happen everywhere. However, everything is a new experience and be careful of the privacy of others as they love it when you value it.
Likes (Safety): University people are always present if you have any issues. Be it related to finance or mental peace, they have dedicated teams for all of this and even they do support in every possible way. You can contact them regarding any issue and they are more than happy to help.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Restaurants are expensive and I like to eat at home. Eating outside is costly as you have to pay in pounds and be ready to cook everything at home. If not, you can choose to eat frozen food which is also a nice thing to do as it costs less and is also good everywhere.

Good but can be better. The lecturers are good but the cohort can be well-filtered.
Tips: Know better about what you want before you come here. Scholarships are provided if you are proactive and if you write some essays. I'm satisfied with my course and lecturers but not with this city and country. Food options are very less and even part-time jobs are less in Norwich.
