Imperial College - A great college for international students.
Tips: There's a sizable Indian community here, so you will never feel alone, and the cultural shift will be very manageable. Everyone is really friendly and helpful too. I'm not sure how many scholarships there are for international students, apart from ones for exceptional performance in the admissions process. I am very satisfied with my course and university, and the country as a whole.
Likes (Indian Food): There's a shop very close to the South Kensington campus called Chaiwala, where you can find a lot of Indian food. The prices are a little bit high as this is London, but it's quite a nice quality. Most people have student accommodation at a place called North Action, where there are a lot more options for Indian food too.
Dislikes (Part time work): You can find lots of opportunities for part-time work, with the most common job being tutoring. Tutoring is probably the best job due to the flexibility and the pay available, but other jobs like being a waiter/waitress, bartender, or shop assistant are easily found. It is tough to balance work with studies, especially at Imperial, but it is certainly possible with dedication and discipline.

The reality of UK colleges and job market.
Tips: It's not just about my college, Imperial College London, which is no. 1 in the UK, but about joining any tier 1 college, may it be Oxford, Cambridge, LBS, etc. Students should know the following: 1) Your job hunt starts in the month of September for Fall intake students. 2) You would mostly be eligible for graduate jobs meant for MSc students, usually students with less than 4 years of experience. 3) Job hunting predominantly lies in your hands, while college could assist when explicitly asked for, however, you are pretty much on your own. 4) Aim to secure a job within 3 to 4 months of your joining the college. So, if your college starts in September, ideally, you could secure a full-time graduate job by October to November end. 5) Prepare well in advance for assessment tests for graduate jobs, you pretty much cannot avoid that. Maybe 1 in 50 jobs will not have a test, the rest do. Assessment tests could be psychometric, quants, qualitative, deductions, gaming simulation, etc.
Likes (Public transportation): London is known for its public transportation and it's not just hyped but it is actually well connected whether it's tube, bus, overground, train, tram, etc. The transport is reasonable, smooth and well connected even if you are living away from central London. Student passes also help with the overall transport.
Dislikes (Value for money): Tuition fees are higher for tier 1 colleges as well, and the chances of getting a better job are higher, however, your chances do not increase as much as your fees do. The average salary is 30,000 pounds per annum, which does not change just because your college is better.

Start your application as early as possible.
Tips: Consider expecting a cultural shift if you're moving abroad. Research course satisfaction, content and reviews beforehand. Expect a rigorous academic environment which expects a lot. Socialise and make as many connections as you can. Start applying for jobs and internships as soon as you get accepted and decide on joining Imperial, the sooner you start the better off you will be.

Life and academics as a masters student at Imperial college London is satisfying.
Tips: The college has a great reputation and alumni network. The course is one of the most popular courses offered by Imperial College. It offers great placement opportunities which drove my attention. Although, as an oversea student, there might be some minor problems with the changed environment. But, the people at the college are quite welcoming.

Tips: Studying here has been one of my goals for a very long time and the campus and college have truly lived up to my expectations. I did receive a scholarship of around 7,500 USD which based on merit, that made it possible for me to study here. Students should definitely read up on the course requirements and ensure that their paperwork is completed promptly.

Tips: There is a lot of variety in the form of courses, clubs and campus events. Because of this, it can sometimes become extremely paced and busy which is why figure out a few of the lesser popular areas and in case you need the library, you can book one of the meeting rooms. Signing up for a meal plan can also make your life easier.

The experience has been great with good faculty.
Tips: I have gained a lot of valuable lessons here, especially by studying in this country. It will take you a while to settle in but this place will be worth your while. Before your classes start, explore the nearby locality and go for an accommodation that suits your class proximity. The ideal rent rates tend to vary but if you room with someone you can save up to 500 or more each month. Other than this, the city has a lot of activities for students.

Tips: Studying at Edinburgh has opened a lot of opportunities for me as the environment here is vibrant and accepting. The classes have intense workload which can case additional stress at times. There are on campus student counsellors to help you out through this phase. Joining peer mentorship can help you out through your academic journey here. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course and the country.

A good place to learn and grow significantly.
Tips: I found the city and the campus very student friendly and welcoming, which made my transition here much smoother and simpler than I had anticipated. The weather can be harsh, but the beautiful landscape makes up for it. Even though the academic programs can be intense, I have learned a lot through this experience. Make sure to balance your academics with other ongoing campus activities.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Immigration in general has become an added difficulty especially here as the rules and regulations keep changing every two years on an average and the eligibility requirement seems practical at this point. It is a better idea to gain experience here and settled elsewhere.

It has been a great experience for me.
Tips: The University of Edinburgh is a world-renowned institution that offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. Among its many offerings, the sciences and engineering programme is one of the best in the world. The university is located in the historic city of Edinburgh, which provides a vibrant and stimulating learning environment. However, the university's large class sizes can make it difficult for students to get to know their professors and classmates on a personal level. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Tips: The old town area has a lot to explore and the campus is beautiful as well. The lectures are very engaging and the faculty is also very involved hence, communication becomes a lot easier. Finally, I feel that the expenses can add to the cost of living which is generally quite expensive as well. I have enjoyed the convenience and ease of navigation the transport and tube system here has brought. It is easy to travel places and explore the city of Edinburgh in a fairly reasonable amount. Hence, my cost of transportation is the least as compared to other amenities.

Tips: Before coming to this college, it's important to know that it's a competitive environment. You'll need to put in a lot of hours of work and study, which can make it hard to balance your priorities. The weather is harsh, and you won't get a lot of sunlight throughout the year. Tips: Students should come here with an open mind and let the university guide you. There are lots of scholarships available, but the students have to search for them all by themselves. Make sure that you use the resources given by the university. I'm very satisfied with my time here in Edinburgh.
Likes (Student Life): The student life at the University of Edinburgh is amazing. There are lots of societies within the university, and the students can choose whatever they feel like doing. There's always something going on around the campus, there's never a lag in student life.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It is very difficult to get PR here in the UK. For people with experience, it is comparatively easier to get a job and sponsorship, but for freshmen, it is very difficult. But you shouldn't be rejected because of that. One has to keep applying to be successful.

Enriching academic journey at the University of Edinburgh
Tips: The transition to a new environment, especially one with a different cultural context can be exciting and challenging. When I arrived, I actively engaged with local communities, participated in events and fought to understand the nuances of the new culture. Adjusting to the local lifestyle, forming connections with fellow students, and exploring the diverse aspects of culture helped smooth the transition process. I did not receive any scholarships. My education and city experience have been overall satisfying. MSc. Management covers a variety of subjects. It was interesting to theoretically understand and use the knowledge in assignments to ensure practical application. However, a 12-month course is not enough time to dwell deep into any subject. The course provides an introductory exposure to several topics. The UK as a country is a beautiful country to live in. However, one must entirely consider the updated immigration rules impacting international students before making the decision to move to the country.

'Navigating Edinburgh: A Secure, Beautiful and Enriching Academic Experience'
Tips: Financial planning, cultural adjustments, networking and support system are key before moving to any country. Understanding the academic system is important and well-research on the course one will be taking. Be careful about scam calls. I have undergone significant changes since coming here. The cultural shifts have altered my perspectives, making me feel more independent and confident in my ability to handle things on my own. Every detail regarding the scholarships can be seen on the University website. Overall, I am satisfied with my university, course and country. Everything is good, although the course is challenging, and the study structure is difficult for me as it's a new learning approach. Regarding the city of Edinburgh, I find it to be captivating and rich in history. The cultural scene is vibrant, with numerous events happening throughout the year. Additionally, Edinburgh is a safe and welcoming city.
Likes (Part time work): Numerous part-time work options are available for students ranging from common roles like restaurant waitress, warehouse workers, forefront office staff and so on. Coming to my course, there are various roles like care homes both elderly and childcare, and volunteering options, which pay a decent salary. Additionally, my university has a career hub where relevant jobs aligned with our course can be explored.
Dislikes (Internships): I have assigned a rating of 3 because I haven't dedicated my full attention to the Internship area yet, and therefore I can't provide a detailed assessment on that area. Typically, I discover more opportunities in London. While there are abundant possibilities here, it's important to delve deeper and put in effort to unlock them.

Everyone's experiences are wildly different, I've had a fantastic year - it's also luck-based.
Tips: Get to know as much as you can about the course, don't get swayed by the ranking system. The staff is lovely and there's a big support team for all kinds of concerns. I have heard about incidents of racism/racial sensitivity but haven't experienced it myself in the university, as I live outside.
Likes (Public transportation): Edinburgh's inter-city and intra-city connectivity is fantastic. I live in the city centre so it's an advantage but otherwise, the big cities are just a train ride away. Apart from buses, there are trams too. Ubers & other cabs work smoothly. It's also safe to use transport at night.
Dislikes (Value for money): With the inflation and increase in tuition, I myself wouldn't want to pay 3000 pounds extra (If I were joining the 23-24 batch) knowing there's hardly been a change in structure/assessment criteria. It is expensive + living in the capital is never cheap but there are lots of part-time job opportunities and financial aid you can ask from the university.

Dislikes (Part time work): The part time opportunities on campus are great. The average pay is 10 Pound per hour. However, managing work alongside a full-time degree can be a little tricky. But with good time management, it is possible. The off campus part time opportunities are also available in Edinburgh.

Everything in Edinburgh is max 30-40 mins away from the city centre. There is less traffic. Extremely gorgeous view from the buses. Edinburgh was awarded the best city in the world this year.
Dislikes (Part time work): Students will have to look for part time jobs in the city. University has limited part time job availability. Many part time job options are available in the city though. A job is easy to find and you'll be able to pay for your monthly expenses on your own very easily.
