It has been a transformative experience studying at Jiangsu University.
Tips: Embracing a new language and culture is a rewarding challenge. The rigorous curriculum, experienced faculty, and immersive cultural environment contribute to a well-rounded medical education. Studying here broadened my perspective and prepared me for a global medical career. The university rules require students to complete Chinese proficiency exams before graduation. Chinese Government Scholarships are awarded through a competitive application process, providing full tuition coverage and a monthly allowance of 3000 RMB. I'm highly satisfied with the MBBS program and my experience in China.
Likes (Part time work): The campus is beautiful, and the city of Zhenjiang is a great place to live. The university organizes cultural nights, sports tournaments, and academic conferences, and I prioritize academic events and enjoy cultural celebrations. Student life includes the International Student Unions, medical societies, and language clubs, and living and learning in China offers a unique perspective on global healthcare and fosters deep personal growth alongside rigorous medical training.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at Jiangsu University are dedicated and very knowledgeable, and they provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The professors are accessible, hold regular office hours, and respond promptly to student inquiries. The unique project-based learning and tech-enhanced lectures promote practical skill development alongside theoretical understanding. The international faculty, hailing from China, India, Germany, and beyond, enriches learning by sharing diverse perspectives and fostering cross-cultural competence essential for global healthcare. Their commitment extends beyond academics, offering career and personal development guidance.

The college provides great facilities and infrastructure for students.
Tips: The college provides great facilities and infrastructure for students. However, the Chinese culture is very different from that of India. But China welcomes all types of cultures, and we celebrate special cultural days. Also, scholarships are available for the best five students, with the top students receiving 2,00,000 yuan. Finally, please make sure to study Chinese thought in college, as it is very important for patient-doctor interaction.
Likes (Value for money): The Jilin University facility is extraordinary compared to what we get in India. The hospital provides the best clinical exposure, but only if you have a strong interest in the field. The infrastructure of the campus and hospital is worth every penny we spend. The doctors are well-known and very experienced.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is not allowed to do part-time work in China on a student visa, it's very difficult to get a job. However, post-study jobs are highly paid. So if you're thinking of working while studying, China is not a good option. But it's a better experience than any other country for studying.
