Master of Science in Transportation/Master of Science in Technology and Policy - Batch of 2024
3.7
Funded Masters at MIT with lots of events and activities.
Tips: Students should know that many MIT Masters programs, including TPP, are fully funded through RAships. You can apply to multiple MIT programs in the same application cycle, and you can also apply for a dual master's degree with other departments after you are admitted to an MIT program. The allowance is almost $45,000 per year, in addition to tuition and health coverage. This amount is sufficient to live in Boston and save some money.
Likes (Student Life): There are lots of fun activities to do in Boston. You can also learn how to sail for free. There are many clubs on campus that you can join for free. Boston is very bikeable so you can bike anywhere within the city. It's very pretty in the fall. People also regularly rent cars to hike in New Hampshire.
Dislikes (Part time work): You will be on a RAship so there is no need for part time for most MIT grad programs except Sloan ones. Taking on additional part-time activities might be restricted by your F1 visa. You won't need additional sources of income over RAship money and you won't have the time for it.

Best college with great academics and friendly faculty.
Tips: I would advise students to be well-prepared academically before joining this college. The classes are more research-oriented, so be ready to get your hands dirty. Also, be prepared to take classes from outside the university. Finally, always be ready to jump in and make yourself available in class. The academics at this college were diverse, and the teachers were very knowledgeable. The tutors were very friendly and helpful. I could approach them anytime, and they were always there for me. I would recommend this college to anyone. The student life was fantastic. I got a lot of learning opportunities and practical experience. Some of the greatest minds in the world work and study there. The research faculty was fabulous, and there was a lot of equipment and funding for experiments. There were a lot of clubs, too. Overall, I am satisfied with the experience.

Arizona State University- where one shape future.
Tips: When I first came to this university, I was not comfortable with the cultural shift. It was a bit of a shock at first, but I gradually got used to it. I did not receive a scholarship, but I am satisfied with my course and the university. There are very few companies that offer visa sponsorship. Also, all job roles are offered in the United States with an average package of at least 60K USD for a Data Analyst position, and around 80K USD minimum for a Software Engineer position.
Likes (Student Life): I spend most of my day studying at home, but many students spend their time on campus in the libraries. The libraries are well-equipped with the latest technology. There is a wide community of students at ASU, and many Indian cultural events take place on campus.

Arizona State University is number 1 in innovation.
Tips: There are some things that students should know before joining Arizona State University. First, you will probably have to live off campus unless you are an honour student. Do your research to find out what housing options are available. Also, depending on where you are from, you may experience a significant cultural shift and change in climate, especially if you are from a cold climate. Finally, there are some scholarships available for international students, but the amount may depend on your country of origin.

A good start for undergraduate experience which will open doors in future.
Tips: ASU is a good start for undergraduate studies, particularly because of the range of opportunities it offers. The cultural shift when moving to a new environment is always significant, but the people here are incredibly welcoming, which made the adjustment much easier. ASU has a NAMU scholarship for international students and the amount can vary according to your application, marks and resume. There are over 1000 clubs that one can join and get introduced to new activities. The professors are really good here lot of them are more big IVY League colleges too.

The university has a diverse and warm environment.
Tips: You will get to meet a lot of new people at and around the university. People from different diversities and different cultures helped me get exposure. I was selected for an early bird scholarship through the consultant I had applied so do check with the agent while applying. It has been a wonderful experience and I really like it here.

Proactive opportunities in Arizona's head.
Tips: It is really hot here in Arizona, so be prepared for that. Don't expect anyone to call you for a part-time job or internship but you will need to actively seek out opportunities. There are plenty of clubs and activities at the university, so make sure to take advantage of them.
Likes (Part time work): Plenty of part-time jobs are available compared to the other universities. There are jobs in dining as well. The payout depends upon the type of part-time job. They are bound to pay minimum wage to states. If you do well in class, lots of opportunities are provided by proof as well.

The faculty is amazing and learnt a lot in the process.
Tips: Students should take advantage of the university and explore as much as they possibly can. There's a world of opportunity out here if you're driven here and you should utilise the resources given to you while being an active part of the student community as well such as through sports or clubs and societies.
Dislikes (Internships): There are limited internships available, especially in the field I am pursuing and the college has a limited number of openings as well which further complicates finding a good opportunity with a reasonable stipend. You can take advantage of networking else you're on your own.

Tips: Students should keep multiple career options as the job market is increasingly competitive and immigrating is simply a matter of chance. The teaching and exposure offered at ASU is quite helpful so take it as an opportunity for growth and networking and build relationships.

A valuable and a versatile experience to witness.
Tips: It has been a very unique and awakening experience for me in Arizona. I would suggest people come to ASU only if they are able to secure some sort of financial aid or have a sponsor else it's an unpredictable life out here. Talk to your counsellors and advisors regarding scholarships.

It is helpful in broadening and providing exposure.
Tips: I have travelled extensively over the years throughout the USA and hence, settling and adapting was considerably easier. But Arizona is more in the countryside as compared to other metropolitan college towns. You will have to be very self-reliant to survive. Overall I am satisfied with the college and the country.

Tips: I majorly experienced a personality transformation owing to the numerous campus associations and groups that allow you to explore your potential and interests. We are encouraged to develop our own niche which ultimately plays off. Sometimes faculty can be a little out of touch with the current student body and scenario. Otherwise, it has been a valuable experience.
