NTU has a lot of internship opportunities for students.
Tips: The Nangyan Technological University is a stressful place. If you are someone who cannot keep working in very minute conditions, then NTU is not the right place for you. However, if you are up for the challenge, then NTU is perfect for you. You can successfully get financial aid and scholarships as well if you apply early. Having good grades in both pre-school and high school is required. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Post study jobs): The biggest blessing being in NTU is the post-study jobs. They are so flexible and guaranteed that even if you maintain decent grades you can end up getting a very high package and credit. Job timings and work hours are relaxed, and healthy family time is given to nearly every employee.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I gave NTU a low rating for food options because I am Indian and from Uttar Pradesh. I don't like their food, and the food options are very selective and not so tasty. Even though there are many Indian options available, I am not satisfied with the quality of their food. Nothing is better than some lobster-like food of Singapore.

Nanyang Technological University is good but leads to a stressful life.
Tips: Before joining this college students should know that it is a very stressful environment and highly competitive. You need to be caught up with every week's work or else it piles up really quickly. The studies are very fast-paced and very little time off is given. The studies' difficult level is not much but the amount of things to do on top of the stress of the competition is very difficult to deal with.
Likes (Internships): NTU has one of the best internship cultures I have ever heard of. It has provided NTU students with every possible opportunity a student can ask for to get an internship. I did a work-study programme wherein we could intern while studying in the college. There are countless programmes like this and one of the best internshipship portals where you can find listings of available internships in various companies and apply from their portals too.
Dislikes (Indian Food): While there are a lot of food options on campus, Indian food is limited to 2 Indian stalls. The quality of food is not good and it is quite expensive also. I can cope with it ever since I tried other cuisines but I have a lot of Jain friends who still struggle with day-to-day food even after 3 semesters.

Highly stressful environment at prestigious NTU.
Tips: NTU has a strong academic focus, emphasizing project-based learning and real-world problem-solving. The teaching pace is fast and keeping up with coursework requires diligence. Additionally, Singapore is an expensive city and the financial and academic pressures can be intense. However, if you manage these challenges, you’ll come out stronger and better prepared for the future.
Likes (Internships): NTU actively promotes a strong internship culture. NTU was very accommodating, providing the necessary documents for my internship in India last summer without any objections. I am enrolled in a work-study program that allows students to intern while studying. NTU also has an excellent internship portal with listings across Singapore for all major subjects, complete with work descriptions and qualification requirements. This makes it easy to apply directly through the platform.
Dislikes (Indian Food): While there isn't a wide selection of Indian food on campus, there is one Indian stall offering a variety of Indian dishes. However, it tends to be more expensive than other local food options. I am comfortable with any food and have adapted to the local cuisine. However, many of my Indian Jain friends face challenges in finding suitable food options.

Top university of Singapore
Tips: It is one of the top universities in the world. Engineering courses are good but they are taught in an academic way that students can learn on their own. A bit more focus should be given towards industry orientation. Also, an employment pass is required to work here and sometimes that becomes difficult to get as a graduation student fresher. But yes if you are from Asia like me and you want to study any engineering course in a top university, this is the place.
Likes (Safety): Singapore is very safe in fact it is one of the safest countries in the world. I and my friends never faced any security related issues whether inside or outside the campus. The university has helpline numbers in case there is any emergency, for me it was never required to dial it up so I have no idea what the response rate is but I think it would be quite good.
Dislikes (Internships): The university does pave the way to get internships. There is a career portal through which a student can apply to the relevant internships but this doesn't always work well even though there are career guidance offices available to guide again a student has to look out for other options outside. The university has a good reputation outside so it isn't much difficult to get an internship.

The University of Hong Kong- The place which liberates you.
Tips: Being a student at HKU has been an exceptionally rewarding experience for me. It changed not only my perspective but also allowed me to think critically. It liberated my ideas, and my thoughts and gave me a platform where I could express myself vociferously without any fear. It boosted my confidence by many, many folds. The faculty at HKU is extraordinary, extremely professional and ethical. However, the general masses in Hong Kong could be cold and reserved. Don't expect that you can be friends with many Hong Kongers. You can though find great people from other countries, including Mainland China. I was awarded the Wong Family Scholarship for pursuing LL.M. in Human Rights from the Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong, and it covered my entire tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses. The living expenses provided is however quite low, i.e. 3000 HKD only, and sometimes it could be challenging to last for a month properly. On a scale of 1 to 10, I am extremely satisfied with my university as well as the course. Both have proved to be wonderful learning experiences for me. Hong Kong is a splendid city, and you get to do a lot of activities, whether it is hiking with random strangers or visiting beaches.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is extremely well connected with the rest of the city. The MTR system, along with the bus services makes the modes of public transportation extremely convenient, safe and affordable. The mini-bus rides are a sheer delight. The cabs can however be quite expensive. Every place in Hong Kong is well-connected. I absolutely loved the public transportation in Hong Kong.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Being a Muslim, I found it extremely challenging to find halal options near HKU. Though there are some excellent halal outlets, most of them are located far from HKU and hence, are not easily accessible. The non-halal food available usually costs around 35 to 45 HKD per meal and is affordable. I used to prefer cooking on my own, as I hardly had many options available. If you are a non-Muslim and okay with eating pork, then I must tell you that food in Hong Kong is going to make your stomach as well as your health fit and happy.
