Best transition experience to a university in Russia.
Tips: I transitioned smoothly from India to Saratov State Medical University, Russia, without any hassle. I did experience cultural differences as I started living here, but warm locals helped me adapt to the culture and norms of the society. Fortunately, I received a government scholarship that covered my tuition fee. I am highly satisfied with the university and its MBBS course. They excel in providing quality education. And I really appreciate the Russia's rich culture.

Comprehensive learning experience at Saratov State Medical University.
Tips: The transition to college was smooth, though there was a cultural shift as I adjusted to new norms and practices. I availed of a merit-based scholarship, which was awarded for academic excellence, and it provided a helpful financial allowance to support my studies. My day in college is spent attending lectures, participating in practical sessions, and dedicating time to study. What I enjoy most about college life is the opportunity to learn new things and engage with peers. The campus organizes events like academic seminars, cultural festivals, and sports competitions. I participate in events whenever my schedule allows, particularly those related to academics. The campus also offers various student clubs, including cultural, academic, and sports communities, providing students with opportunities to explore different interests. I am highly satisfied with my university, course, and country, as they offer quality education, diverse experiences, and ample growth opportunities.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The faculty in my department are highly accessible and approachable, and always ready to assist students through office hours, emails, and online platforms. The teaching methodology is unique as it combines interactive lectures, case-based learning, and hands-on practical sessions, which ensures a well-rounded learning experience. The faculty is diverse, with professors from various nationalities, bringing a wide range of perspectives and global insights, which enriches the overall educational environment and fosters cross-cultural understanding.

Helping and excellent medical university.
Tips: Russia is the best and the most affordable country to study in. The educational system is also the best. The Russian language is easy to learn, and you can become fluent in 1-2 years. Russian people are very kind and loving. You can also get a scholarship if you score well on your exams. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my university.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at this university are very helpful. Everyone speaks English well, so you won't have any problems with language. They teach all subjects in English, and their teaching methods are interesting and helpful. They are better than the faculty at Indian medical universities.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are available at Saratov State Medical University. You can do a job at the hospital after class. This is a great opportunity to observe Russian patients and their treatments. You can do many jobs as a student, and they will pay you enough.

Campus life is good and very convenient.
Tips: Saratov State Medical University is a great place to study. It has a diverse student body from over 30 countries and offers accommodation in dormitories for international students. There are various extracurricular activities, sports, and cultural events available. In addition, the school offers a wide range of academic programs and courses, taught by qualified faculty members. However, you should learn Russian before coming here as it will be easy to communicate with patients and the local people. Admission requirements and procedures may vary depending on the program and the student's country of origin. It's best to check with the university's admissions office or website for the most up-to-date information. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.

Saratov State Medical University has a huge campus and friendly people.
Tips: The main problem is food. We have to cook here. On campus, we need to travel by bus from one department to another. I didn't experience any cultural shift. The temperature can go down to minus 30 degrees Celsius. Public transportation can be quite unreliable. Buses sometimes don't come, and even when they do, you may have to wait for more than 40 minutes. This can be inconvenient and expensive, as you may have to book a cab. Additionally, there are some places that buses don't go. Overall, I am not very satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Internships): Interns are expected to interact with patients, and it's hard to talk with patients and understand their problems if you don't speak the language fluently. If you knew Russian, it would be easier.

The university is budget friendly and most of the faculty communicated in English.
Tips: Please know that all courses in Russia are partially English, not completely English as some people say. The first three years are in English, and the last three years are in Russian. It's a lot to consider, but it's a lot of fun here, and there isn't as much stress as there is in India. You can connect with your faculty in case of any queries or doubts. Besides there are lots of activities held on campus so feel free to participate in it.

The university is good and provides hostel accommodations for international student.
Tips: The university provides hostel accommodations for international students, usually on a twin-sharing basis. The rooms have basic amenities like heating, cooling, and internet access. The hostels are located near the university, which is convenient and safe, especially during the harsh winters. Living off campus is possible but comes with higher costs and logistical challenges.
Likes (Safety): The university has good security guards and cameras in all departments. Hostels are well-guarded with 24/7 security personnel and CCTV surveillance, ensuring student safety. International students are encouraged to live on campus during their initial years for enhanced safety and convenience. Hostels have separate arrangements for male and female students.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are several ways to find part-time work as a student. One option is to look for on-campus jobs, such as helping with research projects or working in administrative roles. These jobs are easier to manage because they align with university schedules. Another option is tutoring or teaching a foreign language. Many local families and language schools hire part-time tutors. Medical students should explore internships or assistant roles in affiliated hospitals.

Rostov State Medical University has a very vibrant and diverse student life.
Tips: Students should try to connect with the alumni or seniors before joining. Ask them about the course, internship opportunities, university. You can also ask about the weather. I have been studying there for two semesters and know that the weather can be extreme, especially during winter. I learned this from experience. The local people are very good and friendly. They are proud of their town and they try to be proud of me too. I have also found that trying to learn Russian can help you connect and communicate with people more quickly. Plus, I find it easier to do business with the locals. The faculty will guide you through the whole course. They have a wealth of knowledge about the subjects, too. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

The university has many extracurriculars for students.
Tips: I would recommend that any incoming students learn some Russian before they come since this university has students from both Russia and other countries. It's a good idea to prepare yourself to have classes at the local hospital each week, too. Student life is amazing in Russia. Russian people are very friendly and all love Indians. Everything is very clean. It is easy to study and enjoy the local life. You can also travel at cheap rates. Faculty are very good and they use modern technology to teach students for international students. Teachers are all doctors and know how to teach medical students. They also want you to learn easily, and you'll have classes in the hospital.
