MSc in Data Science (with an industrial placement year) - Batch of 2025
4.4
University of Sussex has great student life and the university hosts many fun events.
Tips: Students should not convert things to INR and then purchase them. Your necessities are important, so go according to that. Build connections and get jobs as it's easier that way. Scholarships are hard to get, but you need to have a good genuine reason for it. You need vitamins during the winter because of the early sunset. Try not to fall sick. Doctor appointments are not easy. Finally, other cultural changes can be learned as you experience them. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences here.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I like living in the UK, but I don't think I would want to move here permanently. The economy is not doing well, and things are getting more expensive every year. On the other hand, if you can get a job here, the options for settlement are good, and life after retirement is good because of the many benefits for old people.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships and jobs can be hard to come by when you're on a student visa. However, if you're dedicated and focused, you can find a decent job. London is close to Brighton, so it's worth travelling there to look for opportunities. There are also some opportunities in Brighton itself. If you want a job, you'll need to build connections, and sometimes a PSW can help with that as well.

MSc in Strategic Marketing - Batch of 2023

Great college not so great placement prospects.
Tips: The university is great and supportive. The education is outstanding. The people are amazing. But the country is not great. The weather is terrible and everything is very expensive. Only if this college was in some other country it would have been 100/100 recommend
Likes (Quality of faculty): The teachers are super friendly. They are industry professionals with insane amounts of knowledge and insights. They make extra efforts to deliver the best quality of education. They take feedback very seriously, make sure to improve on the feedback received and are extremely helpful.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market is not great in the UK and it is really difficult to find a job and no active placement cells are present in the university. The average package directly is also just not enough. Relevant jobs are also not available. Please be ready to struggle to find a job.

Studying at University of Surrey has been a wonderful opportunity.
Tips: Surrey has everything for the students, so students just need to ask for it. Consider it a beautiful opportunity and work hard to achieve your goals. The university will definitely help you in each and every aspect. The university has all the facilities and is well-equipped to nudge you to achieve your goals. I have worked as an international student ambassador at the University of Surrey. The university has lots of different things for students to do. The best part is the experience you get from working at the university. Surrey conducts lots of different fairs and activities for students to participate in.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I'm a vegetarian, and I found it hard to get any Indian food in Guildford, where the University of Surrey is located. There are a few restaurants, but they're expensive. You can get Indian food at the grocery store, but it's a bit of a struggle.

I feel this is the best University.
Tips: I recommend the students before joining this University to take on-campus student's accommodation early if you are preferring to stay in campus accommodation. Since it is quite difficult to get on-campus accommodation in the University campus.
I also recommend to be an early applicant of this university.

I have had the best experience at this university.
Tips: If you are looking for safety and quality education and student support this is the college for you with supportive and interactive staff, who always encourage you to participate in activities that enhance your inter personal skills and prepare you for the opportunities
Likes (Indian Food): There are plenty of options in fact plenty of shops from my country which made me feel at home. There is a lot of cuisine diversity you can choose from every corner of the town and you wont feel left out while you are out with your friends. I strongly recommend Guilford area for safety and calm.
Dislikes (Internships): They cannot guarantee internship like any other university, so we should do our best and be in the eyes of advisors and professors showing how sincere and dedicated we are towards our future . So you will have to look for options and approach companies that are close to your desired profession.
