Transformative journey to confidence and skills at Fraser Valley University.
Tips: Before joining Fraser Valley University I was very underconfident. However, my experience here has been transformative. I took part in almost all events, which helped me to step out of my comfort zone and engage with diverse groups. The student company programme was particularly impactful allowing me to gain valuable skills in marketing. Over time, my involvement in various activities and programs significantly boosted my confidence and improved my public speaking abilities. The only advice I would want to give to future incoming students is that we have ample opportunities ready it's on you to take that chance and participate in them.

Great contributor to personal & professional growth.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should know that there is a significant difference between the Canadian and Indian education curriculum. This difference can cause a cultural shift that can be difficult to adjust to. It is important to stay focused on your courses and assignments and meet all deadlines. Exams can be stressful, but if you know where you stand, you will be fine.
Likes (Student Life): There are so many fun activities on campus, and people are always there to share problems with. There are also so many facilities such as counselling, internships and student clubs. There are programs such as student magazines, and student company programmes that teach you how real companies work.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The public transportation system in the city where the college is located is quite bad, especially for those who come from a distance. The transportation system in Canada is much better. In the city where the college is located, the transportation system is of poor quality, cabs are expensive, and there is a lot of traffic during peak office hours.

A very good college to be a student of
Tips: Canada is a good country for Indian students. Average students also do good. Fee is not that much compared with other Canada colleges. I got no scholarship myself. Semester wise fees has to be deposited and teachers are from many countries China, France, UK which is very good. I don't know about the job because I have just started. It is more expensive than India but part-time job helps so much to lessen the burden.

Affordable yet good university.
Tips: The campus here at Abbotsford is not that big, the university as compared to other universities is small in size but it is good only because you get to interact with people more while you see them everyday. Class size is small so there is more individual attention, professors who taught me were very knowledgeable and practical, knowing how it works in the industry. There is Tim Hortons in the campus where you can sit and enjoy with your friends, library is well-equipped. There are books out of the syllabus too. I'll prefer you to stay outside campus only there are not many options for on-campus housing. Culture here is very diverse and everyone is good. If you want to study in a university with affordable fees and good facilities in Canada then you should take admission here.

Fun and loving student life.
Tips: There was a slight cultural change but not that much. It was easy for me to cope with everything. I did not get or apply for any scholarships but I am fully satisfied with my university and the country which is Canada and the province is British columbia.
Likes (Safety): The university provides 24/7 security and counselling and other facilities too. I had a good experience cause every student in the university is willing to help others. Just to brief it that even if it's late and you are roaming outside and you need any help, the security guards are present and students will help you.
Dislikes (Internships): There are not as many internship options available at my university. But the thing is that my university regularly sends me internships and openings offers depending on the courses and requirements. A student can apply for the position by passing an interview and other procedures.

Very less job opportunities but amazing student life.
Tips: The most important information I would want to share is that this university is known for its low fee structure. But they have increased the fees by three times in this particular year. Like for my course MBA, the fee was around 13K CAD but now it's 39K CAD. There you can feel a little cultural shift and there are few scholarship programs offered here to students, I have never been part of that scholarship thing. Well, some faculty are good others are just average but that doesn't change the fact that they are talented too. One more thing which I want to mention is that there are very less job opportunities.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is quite good here. There are enormous clubs or communities and there are so many campus events organized here frequently. The infrastructure is so good with enormous other facilities and benefits to students. There's also a sports complex with so many sports options for students.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I am not so sure about the companies and job roles for now as I am still studying there. But here job opportunities are very low. And expenses are quite high like living expenses have been increased and tuition fees have increased by three times for my specific course.

Memorial is truly memororable since everyday has been a different experience
Tips: Students should join to excel in the classes, not worry about marks and grades. Prepare to know the course material and not to pass the class. The teaching is such that students are prepared for any questions from the syllabus. Besides this, having a good social life is important as well since you are away from home.
Likes (Safety): People are really polite and hence St johns is a safe place to be in. I would leave my door open and go to work. I go to college classes and everywhere without worrying anything would be stolen. Some areas are not safe near downtown but majorly the city is great to live in.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Transportation is poor in st johns with only Metro bus which often comes every 30-45 mins. Hence making it harder to balance work and study at the same time. If you miss a bus waiting for next costs you to lose time at work and not get paid, sometimes possibly get fired as well.

Student loving city with great views
Tips: The weather can be pretty harsh here so prepare for that. It all comes down to a person. The city is not big like other places you need to choose your own pace in this city. The most problematic thing would be food if you don't know how to cook. I am satisfied with my course and city.
