Amazing university, amazing faculty and a huge learning opportunity.
Tips: If someone is joining a technical course, they should be well rehearsed with the technology taught in the course as mostly everything is taught through applied principles. So one should prepare beforehand as it is going to be tough to study a STEM course here.
Likes (Internships): DCU gives opportunities for internships for under graduates and also for Masters. They give opportunities to take internships in their research programs. In my course Intel comes every year, they select 10 students for a job offer and also 3000 Euros scholarship.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is hard to get as it is expensive and if you cook yourself it will be better. It doesn't depend on the college you choose, for food, you have to learn cooking. Indian cooking material is easily available. Almost everything. For dosa lovers I would suggest bring dosa pan from India and bring cooker as well.

Life changing experience and cultural adaptation
Tips: It's a life changing experience to study abroad. You will learn their culture and adapt to their way of living. DCU is a very student friendly university and there's a lot of diversity so there's a lot to learn from people of different backgrounds and ethnicity. It's way better if you stay on campus and utilise all the facilities.
Likes (Public transportation): It is just 15-20 minutes bus ride to the city centre. The campus has two gates and both of them have bus stop connections to various directions of the city and a few of the buses are frequent. If you have a student leap card, it will cost you an average of 2 euros per trip which is cheap compared to other modes.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are a few good native food options but they are not in the campus locality and are moderately priced compared to local cuisines. The cheapest and easily accessible food is burgers and pizzas. I would prefer cooking myself as it saves more money than buying outside.

The college has good coaching facility
Tips: Before joining the college students should know what is the accommodation status in the vicinity. Since, in Dublin, there is a scarcity of rooms and usually college accommodation is fairly high so be prepared. Other than that people are welcoming here. There are a lot of sports which one can try out.

Exceptional course delivery methods at DCU.
Tips: I am pretty satisfied with the course delivery methods. Also, scholarships are given to students with good grades in the Bachelors. It was a good experience overall. The staff were always friendly and I got to meet people from different fields and expertise that helped expand my knowledge.

The programme offers a varied teaching environment
Tips: During my pursuit of a Masters in Electronics and Computer Engineering at DCU, the anticipation of studying abroad was exhilarating. Despite Dublin's well-known housing challenges, I was fortunate to secure on-campus accommodation, equipped with essential utilities. Regarding the academic experience, the teaching style significantly differs from what I was accustomed to in India. While initially challenging to grasp, the transition becomes smoother over time. Notably, the emphasis shifts from classroom lectures to assignments, offering hands-on exposure to some topics, although certain assignments remain theoretical. In summary, the programme offers a varied teaching environment, with a notable focus on individual effort. Expectations should align with a proactive learning approach, as the course demands substantial dedication.

My experience at Dublin City University was wonderful and memorable.
Tips: Students should have some background knowledge about the course and how the job market is for those roles. I got a scholarship of 4000 based on my previous academic scores. I did my master's completely online as I was in the Covid batch, for which I felt the fee was a bit high. The quality of teaching is very good and I’d recommend it to anybody.
Likes (Post study jobs): I got my job based on my previous experience. However, studying at this university was also an add-on advantage to getting a job. I have worked in two companies after graduation, both sponsored visas for work. I working in automation testing and my salary was between 35-40k during the first year.
Dislikes (Safety): I have heard from my friends who live in that area that the locality is not very safe. Teenagers bully people and steal from them. I’ve also heard the neighbourhood is very quiet and some students find it difficult to walk alone at times. Other than that the student accommodation is safe and friendly.
