National Overseas Scholarship Scheme 2024; Apply by March 31
Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India is offering the National Overseas Scholarship Scheme 2024-25. Interested students can apply by March 31, 2024.
Distribution of categories under the National Overseas Scholarship Scheme 2024
Every year, a total of 125 fresh awards will be given depending on the availability of funds. There will be a cap of 10% of the total slots for each state while allotting the slots. If slots of any state remain vacant, then these slots will open for the allocation to the candidates belonging to other states including the state on which the cap of 10% has been applied.

How to Apply
The candidates must follow the following points while applying for the scholarship:
- As per the eligibility and suitability given in the advertisement in the newspapers and other media, interested candidates can apply at www.nosmsje.gov.in.
- New applicants need to register through “Candidate Registration” option available under the Main Menu on Home Page.
- Candidates should ensure that email id and password provided while filling out the form are correct as these will be used for login.
- They also need to ensure that all the relevant documents are successfully uploaded in the correct order.
- The selected candidates are required to upload the Attestation Form and other required documents
Selections Procedures
The following are the procedures given on the official website:
- Only who have submitted their Aadhar card and obtained unconditional offer of admission from one of the foreign Institutions/ Universities which are in the list of top 500 ranked institutions/ universities from the academic session 2024-25 and onward will be considered for the National Overseas Scholarship for SC.
- There will be only two rounds of Selection and no request for a change of institute or university will be entertained later.
- The online applications of the eligible candidates shall be placed before the Selection-cum-Screening Committee.
- Wait list of eligible candidates will be maintained in the final round. The waitlist will be valid up to March 31 of the election year. Candidates on the wait list may apply for the next election year as well. The waitlist will be a maximum of 50% of the total seats.
- Those who have already secured admissions to foreign colleges/universities will be issued a provisional award of scholarship letters.
