Applications Open For DAAD Scholarships For International Students At Freie University Berlin

Study In Germany: The last date to apply for the DAAD Scholarships for international students at Freie University Berlin is January 27, 2025.

Interested students need to complete the online application and submit it before the deadline. The applications can be submitted in German and English. The candidates will be selected based on their applications and personal interviews. The selection committee will have representatives from the following departments - Student Mobility Unit, International Student Support, Center for Academic Advising and Psychological Counseling, Gender Equality Officer, Center for Academic Advising and Psychological Counseling, and Counseling Service for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses.

"On the Online Application Form, please include a brief statement (max. 4000 characters) that addresses how this scholarship would support your studies, e.g. What would you use the scholarship funding for? How would this funding contribute to your academic success?," says the university statement.

The selected candidates will be contacted in February for an interview round. Those who will get selected will need to provide more documents.

• Certificate of enrollment or study certificate which needs to be sent to international@studienberatung.fu-berlin.de.
• Copy of entrance qualification for higher education.
• Academic transcripts of classes attended.
• Citizenship documentation such as current passport
• Eligibility documents like official documents, a birth certificate of your child, medical documentation, or a care certificate.

International Summer And Winter University FUBiS At FU Berlin Starts New Year With 133 Participants

Last week, the university welcomed around 133 international students from twenty countries to its International Summer and Winter University (FUBiS). In the first week, the students will be able to enrol in German as a foreign language course and the other 6 subject courses in English.

“With 133 participants this FUBiS winter term is one of our biggest winter cohorts ever. It was great to see all of these students eagerly chatting among themselves and getting to know each other last Friday,” says Program Director Sophia Schmieder.
