University Of Manchester Offers Various Scholarships For Indian Students In 2025

The University of Manchester has announced that it is offering multiple scholarships for Indian students, which will be given based on academic merit. The scholarship will be provided towards the tuition fees.

"Aspiring scholars can participate in world-class education and research opportunities through the scholarships, which demonstrate the university's dedication to developing international academic talent and advancing cultural diversity. For various scholarships on offer, a student’s academic merit will serve as the foundation for assessment. Students who get an offer while meeting the qualifications, will get a scholarship in the form of a decrease in tuition fees," says the university statement.

Details Of University Of Manchester Scholarships For Indian Students In 2025

Global Futures Scholarship: It is available for both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The scholarship is available to all international students, including Indians. There are over 100 merit-based undergraduate scholarships of up to £24,000 available for international students. It will be provided by offering £8,000 per year over three years.

The deadline for the undergraduate Global Futures Scholarship is April 10, 2025. The selected students will be notified by April 30, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria For Undergraduate Global Futures Scholarship include:

• The students should be domiciled in India and must be fee-paying.
• They should have a conditional or unconditional offer from the university.
• Scholarships are available for various schools, including Alliance Manchester Business School, Languages and Cultures, School of Arts, Education and Development, School of Environment, and the School of Social Sciences.

For the postgraduate Global Futures Scholarship, there are 230 merit-based scholarships available to international students, each valued at £8,000.

GREAT Scholarship 2025: University of Manchester, in collaboration with the British Council and GREAT Britain Campaign, is offering GREAT Scholarship 2025 worth £10,000 towards tuition fees.

"students from India who will enroll in the 2025–2026 academic year are eligible to receive a GREAT scholarship specifically for taught master's programs in the School of Arts, Languages, and Cultures," said the university statement.

The deadline to apply is April 24, 2025, and the results will be announced by May 30, 2025.

Humanities Postgraduate Scholarships: It is worth £10,000. There is no separate application required for this, and it is granted based on merit. It will be provided with one-year funding only. The applicants should be domiciled in India and must be paying international tuition fees.

Manchester Humanities International Excellence Scholarship: It offers funding up to £5,000 based on the programme's tuition fees. For programmes with tuition fees below or equal to £28,000, this scholarship will offer £2,500 and for programmes with tuition fees above £28,000, the value offered will be £5,000.

Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute Taught Masters Scholarships: The value is £14,000 for select programs to start in September 2025. There will be one each provided for MSc International Disaster Management and MA Humanitarianism and Conflict Response programmes. It is open to international students from all countries.
