An enriching and vibrant student experience at Mari State University.
Tips: Students should know that the professors are highly qualified, with many holding advanced degrees and extensive experience in their fields. They bring a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, making the learning process both engaging and effective. Faculty members are approachable and accessible, fostering an open academic environment. Students can consult them during office hours, through email, or during informal interactions, ensuring timely guidance and support. This accessibility enhances the student-teacher relationship and facilitates a deeper understanding of complex concepts. The medical programs are particularly popular among international students, thanks to affordable tuition fees, English-medium courses, and opportunities for clinical practice in well-equipped hospitals. The campus is well-designed, providing students with access to modern laboratories, libraries, and sports facilities. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the university, the course and the country.
Likes (Post study jobs): The student life at Mari State University deserves a 5-star rating for its vibrancy, inclusivity, and the multitude of opportunities it offers. A typical day on campus is dynamic and fulfilling, with a balance of academic, extracurricular, and social activities. Classes are engaging, and the break provides time to explore the campus, collaborate with peers, or relax in the student lounges. What I enjoy most about college life is the sense of community and the chance to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. The university regularly organizes a variety of events, including cultural festivals, academic seminars, sports competitions, and talent shows. I actively participate in cultural programs and sports activities.

A budget friendly and welcoming college.
Tips: Before joining, students should know that it is important to assess whether the institution offers programs and courses that are aligned with their interests and career goals. You should also consider the curriculum and course structure, including the credit system. It is also important to understand the teaching style of the faculty and the student-faculty ratio. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Safety): I rated safety a 5 because the college prioritizes students' safety and well-being, providing a secure and supportive environment. The college has 24/7 security personnel patrolling the campus, CCTV cameras monitoring the campus, and secure entry and exit points.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are limited, but they can be a great way to earn some extra money while studying. These jobs include library assistant, teaching assistant, and research assistant. Off-campus part-time job opportunities are more plentiful but may require more time and effort to commute. Some of these jobs are retail jobs such as sales associates, cashiers, food service jobs, tutoring or teaching English as a second language, freelance writing, graphic design, or social media management, and pet-sitting or dog-walking.

University is good and has many sports activities. Teachers are good and helpful.
Tips: Students should be aware of this fact before enrolling in the university that there are no internships or visiting hospitals. The city is very small, and there are very few tourist attractions. So you may not find much to do in the city. Apartments are expensive but if you are living with friends, the cost of housing can be reduced. The city is very cold in December and January so you should dress warmly during these months.
Likes (Public transportation): There is good public transportation in this city. Buses are available to go to any corner of the city. Interstate buses are available, but there is no airport in the city. To get to the airport, you have to go to Kazan City, which is 200 kilometres away. Prices are affordable for city buses. There are electric buses and petrol buses.
Dislikes (Internships): There is no internship and no visiting hospitals. If you go to the hospital, you have to just sit there. The teachers speak in their native language, so it is difficult to understand them if you don't know Russian. And you may only visit the hospital once or twice a year.

Mari State University is definitely value for money.
Tips: I have not experienced any cultural shift since coming here. I did not apply for any scholarships. The university celebrates the cultural activities of all the students from other countries who study here. The campus is very safe and secure. There is always help available from the international office and from teachers. The university also provides a safe hostel with rules that require students to be in their rooms by 11:00 PM. I am satisfied with my university course and the country.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There is only one Indian restaurant that opened just a few days ago, and the rest of the restaurants are non-vegetarian. There is no proper food for vegetarians, so I prefer to cook for myself. Also, it is difficult to find vegetables, and when I do, they are very expensive. Finally, there are no Indian spices available, so I have to bring them from India.

Peaceful atmosphere with friendly teachers.
Tips: Before coming to Mari State University, you should know a little Russian, as it will be very helpful. Also, you should bring your traditional clothes, as we celebrate all our traditional functions. Finally, you should come here with a mind and confidence to study. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course and the country.
Likes (Safety): I've been living here for six years, and I've never felt unsafe. If you're under 18, you can't be out after 10 p.m. But girls and boys are safe walking around the city at any time.
Dislikes (Part time work): Students are not allowed to work while on a student visa. However, if you know Russian, you can get a part-time job at a restaurant or as a delivery driver. Personally, I think it's better to concentrate on your studies during this time.

The university has good education and great faculty.
Tips: Before you head off to college, make sure you know what to take with you. Check with your college for a list of approved and prohibited items. Don't forget essentials like comfortable clothing, a laptop, a phone, toiletries, and bedding. You should also research clubs, events, and activities on campus and in the surrounding area so you can make the most of your college experience. Try to connect with the alumni before joining. Finally, create a weekly schedule that includes time for classes, assignments, social activities, sleep, exercise, and relationships. The university has a very strong curriculum so make sure to be focused and study well. The faculty are very helpful so try to reach out to them in case of any queries. Overall, I am quite satisfied here with the course and the country.
