Alan Plumtree Graduate Scholarship are offered at University of Waterloo to those international students who are pursuing a Masters Degree. This is a Merit Based Scholarship, which is provided to only single student. Alan Plumtree Graduate Scholarship are valued at CAD 20000 for single student who qualify from University of Waterloo. Also, the Alan Plumtree Graduate Scholarship helps students in reducing tuition on a yearly basis, offered in the first year of Masters Degree only. Applications for Alan Plumtree Graduate Scholarship at University of Waterloo are filed separately. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their 12th grade and also possess a Bachelor degree. Along with the Alan Plumtree Graduate Scholarship application. The eligibility of the students to qualify for Alan Plumtree Graduate Scholarship would solely depend on the applicant’s admission to University of Waterloo Masters Degree, his/her aptitude for an overall contribution towards University of Waterloo community and of course the academic achievements.

  • The goal is to provide a combined scholarship with a value of up to $20,000. Of this, $5,000 will be provided from the endowment income, to be matched 2:1 by the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) program as long as this program is in effect
  • The University of Waterloo will top-up the scholarship with $5,000

Eligibility

  • The applicants must be a full-time graduate student who has been awarded an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) and has been accepted into the Graduate Program in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering
  • Selection to be based on scholastic excellence (minimum 80% average) and demonstrated interest in pursuing a graduate degree with a concentration in Fluid Mechanics and excellence in research through hands-on applications
