American University- Merit Based Scholarships is offered by the American University. This scholarship is for pursuing a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree, The American University- Merit Based Scholarships is given yearly to a multiple students each year. This scholarship awards a maximum of USD 20000 per student and is used to cover tuition. Under this scholarship some students get their full tuition fee waived. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. Students from abroad must take English proficiency exams like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE in order to be eligible for this award.

Eligibility

• Applicants must have passed high school 
• Applicants should completed at least 16 college preparatory secondary school units i.e english, mathematics, laboratory science, social science and foreign language. 
• Applicants must be applying for an undergraduate program at the university
• This scholarship is renewable for all four years of study based on successful continued academic performance.
