Aston University Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship is offered by the Aston University to international students. Aston University Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship is available for students from all countries who want to study Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree and PhD in the UK at the Aston University. Every year, the university selects a certain number of candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is GBP 13500 at Aston University. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program.

Eligibility

  • This scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence, and a genuine commitment to their subject area which could be demonstrated by work experience, volunteering, or extracurricular projects and activities
  • A student may be eligible for an Aston International Scholarship if:
    • They are classed as an Overseas student for tuition fee purposes
    • They are holding an offer for a full-time Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught program at Aston University which will start in the Autumn Term
    • They are entering into First Year of a degree program at Aston University
    • They meet all of the conditions set out in their offer letter

Application Process for this scholarship

  • An official academic transcript, with an official English translation, of the university grades to date
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • Personal Statement - A personal statement (250 words max) that explains your interest in the subject area, shows non-academic achievements or activities that you wish to be considered, and demonstrates how the course will support your career plans
  • Copy of Passport
  • Sponsor letter, if appropriate/available
  • CV (Optional)
  • Two references (one academic and one employer) 

To apply for a scholarship, applicants will need to apply for an Aston University course first. Once they have received an offer to study an Aston University course, they can then log into their My Aston Portal (MAP) account, where they will find a link to the scholarship application form

Additional Information

  • The university will contact students by email if they are awarded this scholarship
  • Postgraduate research students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship
  • Students can only receive one scholarship but they are able to apply for multiple scholarships. If they are successful in being awarded multiple scholarships, the highest value scholarship will be awarded to them. Scholarships will automatically be credited to their student account in the form of a tuition fee reduction
  • Students will be asked to write a short supporting statement, which will be judged by a panel
