Eligibility

  • An applicant is eligible for the Scholarship, if the applicant:
    • Submits an application to audition for the Bachelor of Music (Honours) program to the Head, by the closing date for applications; and
    • Is or intends to be enrolled full-time in the first year of the Approved Program

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • This scholarship will be awarded to the applicant showing the greatest merit in the audition

  • Preference will be given to:

    • applications who audition on a relevant instrument (to be announced soon)

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.

Additional Information

  • Conditions for scholarship :
    • The Scholarship is tenable for one year and paid in two instalments.
    • The first payment will be made after the census date in semester 1 subject to the recipient being enrolled full-time in the Approved Program.
    • The second payment will be made after the census date in semester 2 subject to the recipient
      • Continuing to be enrolled full-time in the Approved Program; and
      • Obtaining a GPA of at least 5 in semester 1.
    • If the recipient fails to satisfy rule 6(2) or 6(3), the recipient must show cause to the Head why the Scholarship should not be cancelled.

  • Termination of Scholarship :
    • The University will terminate the Scholarship :
      • if the recipient does not show cause to the reasonable satisfaction of the Head as provided for in rule 6(4);
      • once the maximum duration of the Scholarship has lapsed; or
      • if the student commits serious misconduct
