Scholarship Overview

Benavitch Scholarships is awarded for pursuing Master of Business Administration at University of Cambridge. A student can get a maximum amount of GBP 15000 and the scholarship amount will be given one time only. The scholarship amount can be used for paying tuition. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their 12th grade and also possess a Bachelor degree. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English language examinations as well as standardised exams like IELTS, GMAT. As a part of selection process, applicants must have relevant work experience and also needs to appear for an interview.

Eligibility

  • The scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and are awarded for the duration of the course. They are intended for candidates who will become leaders in the practice or study of management and business
  • First class degree, GPA of at least 3.7 (out of 4) or equivalent from a recognised university
  • IELTS: 7.5 with min score of 7.0 in each section
  • Minimum GMAT score of 700 (MBA only)
  • 3 years' full-time post-graduation work experience (MBA and EMBA only)
  • Interview: Short-listed candidates are invited to an interview day at Cambridge Judge Business School. In exceptional circumstances (for example if it is difficult for you to get a visa at short notice to visit the UK) sometimes interviews are conducted in applicants own country or occasionally by Skype

Application Process for this scholarship

  • Essay: It is required for admission purpose. The following are the main essay questions on the Cambridge MBA application: 
    • Please provide a personal statement. It should not exceed 500 words and must address the following questions:
      • What are your short and long-term career objectives and what skills/characteristics do you already have that will help you achieve them?
      • What actions will you take before and during the MBA to contribute to your career outcome?
      • If you are unsure of your post-MBA career path, how will the MBA equip you for the future?

    • What did you learn from your most spectacular failure? (200 words) 
    • Describe a situation where you had to work jointly with others to achieve a common goal. What did you learn from the experience? (up to 200 words)
  • Covering letter explaining in no more than 300 words the contribution they expect to make to business and society in the future
  • Admission Process: Candidates should apply for admission via the Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS)
