Blum 4-H Agriculture Scholarship is offered by the Purdue University. This scholarship is for pursuing a Bachelors Degree, The Blum 4-H Agriculture Scholarship is given yearly to any number of students depending upon the university. Scholarship amount is decided by the university which will be used to waive the tuition fee for the student.. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. Students from abroad must take English proficiency exams like TOEFL, IELTS in order to be eligible for this award.

Eligibility

• Applicants must have passed high school
• Applicants must meet or exceed these minimum high school expectations.
  • Math—eight semesters
  • English—eight semesters
  • Lab science—six semesters (for engineering applicants, chemistry experience is expected; for nursing, pharmacy and veterinary nursing, two semesters must be chemistry and two must be biology)
  • Social studies—six semesters
  • World language—four semesters
• Students interested in applying for technical programs (engineering, science, health-related majors, technology, and agriculture, etc.) should take as much advanced coursework as possible in math and science (pre-calculus, AP/IB Calculus, AP/IB Biology, AP/IB Chemistry, and AP/IB Physics).
• A student will initially receive the award as a freshmen but has the potential to renew the scholarship as long as the required criteria is maintained.
• Selections will be made based upon the following factors:
  
  • Academic Merit
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Minimum of Five Years in 4-H
  • Incoming Undergraduate Freshmen

• Essay and answers to Purdue questions
• Personal background and experiences
• 1-2 page essay on “How will your involvement in 4-H and your college education impact your future and how will you give back to agriculture or your community?”
• Complete the College of Agriculture Scholarship application to be considered for this College of Agriculture Scholarship.
