• University of ottawa offers Brunette Family Scholarship
• This scholarship was established in 2004 by brothers Patrick Brunette (B.A. Hons. 2003) and Daniel Brunette. They believe in the need to promote historical knowledge in order to provide a better understanding of current Canadian values and ideas. The donors acknowledge and thank the Department of History for their matching contribution
• To provide financial assistance to students registered with the Department of History, including the Institute of Canadian and Aboriginal Studies, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ottawa
