Chancellor's Global Academic Merit Scholarship is offered by the University of Portsmouth to international students. Chancellor's Global Academic Merit Scholarship is available for students from any country who want to study Bachelors Degree, Bachelors Certificate, Bachelors Diploma, Masters Degree, Masters Certificate, Masters Diploma in the UK at the University of Portsmouth. Every year, the university selects a certain number of candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is GBP 5000 at University of Portsmouth. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program.

  • Applicants must have passed 12th, if they are applying for undergraduate programmes
  • Applicants must hold bachelor's degree from a recognised university, if they are applying for graduate programmes.
  • Applicants must meet course specific requirements, if mentioned any
  • If students are studying an undergraduate, postgraduate research or postgraduate taught course, they must have applied as a self-funded student on a full-time, on-campus, course.
  • Applicants must have applied and accepted their academic offer by the given deadline.

  • The scholarship is not available for students who have previously studied other courses at the University of Portsmouth, who will instead be allocated the alumni discount, provided they have successfully completed an eligible qualification
  • The scholarship is not available for ICP (International College Portsmouth) students
  • Only applicants who have been assessed as overseas students for tuition fee purposes can access this scholarship
  • The discounted fee will be stated on your Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS). This is the final document you receive when you have an unconditional offer to study at the University of Portsmouth and have paid your deposit
