The history of Oxford University is one rooted in tradition, with a long-standing practice of creating leaders. This University has been at the helm of some of the most prolific and influential individuals in world history including Isaac Newton, Bill Clinton and David Cameron. The Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme builds on this tradition by giving you a strong foundation in fundamental business concepts while also expanding your perspective and helping you comprehend the function of business in society. MBA students from Oxford University have been able to establish themselves as leaders in their field and transform businesses in the process. With a strong foundation in fundamental business skills, you'll learn about strategy, finance, economics and more. You will be pushed to dive deeply into the topics that most interest you so that you may develop the strategic abilities and insight necessary to build a fruitful, fulfilling career. In order to become a successful businessperson, you must have a solid understanding of the basics of business. However, true success comes from the passion and drive you bring to your field. The MBA program will help you develop those skills by enrolling in courses that are tailored to each student's individual interests and needs.
When applying for a Chevening Award, applicants must choose three courses they would ideally study during their time abroad. This is an opportunity to fulfill their educational aspirations and expand their knowledge of a specific field. This implies that if for whatever reason you are not given a place on your initial course selection, you will have backup plans. Additionally, it gives the assessors a stronger idea of your professional objectives, and they may recommend your second or third course choice as a Chevening Award candidate. Take caution when selecting your three courses. After submitting your application, you won't be allowed to modify your course preferences unless you are given permission to do so during the interview process. For each of your chosen courses, you must submit a separate application through the institution. The course titles do not have to exactly match, but the substance of all three courses should be identical. You should choose courses that align with your present or future professional aspirations. The Chevening Scholarships are funded by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) in the UK. Significant contributions are also made by partner organisations. The scholarships are offered in over 150 countries and are generally awarded for one year master's courses. They enable talented graduates and young professionals who are identified as the potential leaders of tomorrow to develop strong links with the UK and with each other in a global network.
