Chris Hilbert Outstanding Chico State Friend Award is applicable to only Bachelors,Masters only. This is a merit-based scholarship. Chris Hilbert Outstanding Chico State Friend Award award up to USD 4200 each year to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship 1 student each year. All international students irrespective of their countries can apply for a Chris Hilbert Outstanding Chico State Friend Award.

Eligibility

• Students currently enrolled and in good academic standing at Chico State at any academic level are eligible for consideration.
• Nominee should demonstrate the qualities of friendship to fellow students and the University as a whole. Former recipients of this award are not eligible

Application Process for this scholarship

• Nominations may be submitted by current CSU, Chico faculty or staff members. Supporting documentation from faculty, staff, and students is encouraged. Please complete the information on this form and attach it to a letter of nomination that:   
• Recipient will be selected based on the following criteria:
  • Being consistently reliable for support, understanding, and leadership in a student organization or living group.
  • Exhibiting determination in learning and mastering a skill or body of knowledge while overcoming personal obstacles.
  • Befriending fellow students and instructors alike, or assisting others to do so in a creative, courageous manner.
  • Being that student others turn to in times of need or celebration.
  • Displaying other behaviors and characteristics which combine to make an individual an Outstanding Chico State Friend.
