Clarendon Scholarships- MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance provides financial support, to academically excellent Indian students, for pursuing any Masters Degree course at the University of Oxford, This scholarship is specifically meant for Indian students who are pursuing full-time Masters Degree course in MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance from the University of Oxford. Clarendon Scholarships- MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance for MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance in MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance, at the University of Oxford, involves a one_time scholarship award of 50577 that can be used to pay for the tuition,living. Students must note that accommodation, health cover, application fees, etc. do not fall within the purview of this scholarship. Moreover, this scholarship will be awarded to a maximum of 130 students, one of whom might belong to a country other than India. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade.

  • All Clarendon scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full
  • Scholars on a full-time course receive a generous annual grant for living costs, which is normally sufficient to cover the living costs of a single student living in Oxford. In 2021 this will be at least £15607

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have a first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree with honours in mathematics or a related discipline. 
  • Other indicators of high academic achievement may include individual marks on student transcripts; evidence of previous university prizes or awards; information on applicants overall position within their cohort; and publications (if applicable)
  • IELTS: 7.5 with min score of 7.0 in each component
  • Interview: Technical interviews are normally held as part of the admissions process. The interview could take place face-to-face or by Skype
  • Applicants with a full-time degree-level course of a minimum of nine months, at a recognised institution, where the medium of instruction and assessment was entirely in English can be exempted from the English proficiency exam at the discretion of the University

  • This will be assessed for:
    • your reasons for applying

    • commitment to the subject, beyond the requirements of the degree course

    • reasoning ability
    • ability to absorb new ideas, often presented abstractly, at a rapid pace
  • LOR: Applicants need to submit 3 academic references
  • Official transcripts: It should give detailed information of the individual grades received in university-level qualifications to date
  • CV: Comprising of one to two pages highlighting applicants academic achievements and any relevant professional experience
  • Applicants must submit solutions to the MSc in Mathematics and Computational Finance admissions exercise(this will be assessed for whether your mathematical background is adequate, particularly in calculus, linear algebra, probability, statistics, and partial differential equations)
