Scholarship Overview

College of Life and Environmental Sciences Global Excellence Scholarships is applicable to only Masters courses. This is a merit based scholarship. College of Life and Environmental Sciences Global Excellence Scholarships award up to Pound 4,000 one time to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship Varies each year. To be eligible for this scholarship students need to appear for IELTS and PTE.Students must have passed 12th and Undergraduate degree to be eligible for this scholarship. All international students irrespective of their Nationality can apply for a College of Life and Environmental Sciences Global Excellence Scholarships. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award applicants must:

•  Candidates are expected to attain a First-class or Upper Second-class (2:1) Honours degree (or the equivalent) for their undergraduate qualification

• Holders of Bachelors degree will normally be expected to have achieved 55% - 60% or higher for 2:1 equivalency, or 50% - 55% for 2:2 equivalency depending on the awarding institution.

• The College of Life and Environmental Sciences Global Excellence Scholarships are primarily awarded on the basis of academic performance?in the applicants’ previous studies 
• Qualifications and other notable achievements from relevant professional roles will be taken into account 

• English language requirements i.e IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in any band and PTE Academic 67 with no less than 64 in all four skills

• Personal statement- The personal statement is a chance to make the application stand out. It should, amongst other things: outline your interest in the subject, demonstrate that your background has sufficiently prepared you for the degree, mention any relevant experience and outline how the course will fit into your future plans
• One academic reference
• To be considered for an award, applicants must, by the deadline, have done both of the following:

  • Made an application to their intended Masters programme.

  • Completed the College of Life and Environmental Sciences Global Excellence Scholarships application form.

  • Applicants should enter the application ID number that they were given during the application to the Masters programme.
