Colombo Plan Scholarship in Engineering is offered by the University of Auckland . Colombo Plan Scholarship in Engineering is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a semester basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is AUD 1500. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. Eligibility

  • 12 years of schooling and an overall average of 75 percent in the All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSC), Indian School Certificate (ISC), Karnataka, Maharashtra, and West Bengal State Board Examinations with a minimum of 70 percent in English and 85% in Physics and Mathematics
  • 12 years of schooling and an overall average of 80 percent in all other Higher Secondary State Board Examinations with a minimum of 75 percent in English and 88% in Physics and Mathematics
  • ELP Scores:
    • TOEFL: 80 with a Writing score of 21
    • IELTS: 6.5 with 6.0 or better in all bands
    • PTE: 50 with no communicative skills score below 42
  • Applicants are not required to submit English language proficiency scores if they have scored 70% in English in 12th
  • The Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has paid the fees or arranged to pay the fees
  • The basis of selection will be academic merit, financial need, community activities, communication skills, leadership potential, and desire to contribute positively to the engineering profession
