Scholarship Overview

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is awarded for pursuing MSc Water and Environmental Management at University of Bristol. A student can get a maximum amount of GBP 39725 and the scholarship amount will be given one time only. The scholarship amount can be used for paying tuition, living, travel, airfare and others. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English proficiency tests such as IELTS and PTE. Students will require the following documentation to apply for the scholarship: LOR.

  • There are eight awards in 2023/24 for students studying an eligible one-year taught postgraduate programme.

    The Shared Scholarship covers:

    • tuition fees
    • maintenance/living cost stipend
    • return flights
    • thesis grant
    • study travel grant (if applicable)
    • a one-off arrival allowance.

Eligibility

Applicants:

  • must be a commonwealth country citizen, refugee, or British protected person
  • are expected to hold an upper second-class honours degree (or international equivalent) in engineering or science
  • must meet the English language requirements to meet UKBA Tier 4 visa regulations-
    • IELTS- Overall 6.5, with a minimum 6.0 in all bands
    • PTE- Overall score of 67,  with no skill below 60
  • must not presently be living or studying in a developed country, or must not have previously studied in a developed country than his/her home country

  • have not undertaken studies lasting one year or more in a developed country;
  • are themselves (or their family), unable to pay to study in the UK;
  • will return to their home country as soon as the award ends
