Scholarship Overview

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is awarded for pursuing MSc Africa and International Development,MSc International Development at The University of Edinburgh. A student can get a maximum amount of GBP 38896 and the scholarship amount will be given one time only. The scholarship amount can be used for paying tuition, living, travel and airfare. Eligibility

Applicant:

  • must be a Commonwealth citizen, refugee, or British protected person
  • must be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country;
  • must be available to start the academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September and have applied for admission
  • must hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard
  • must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement by the University-
    • IELTS- overall 7 with at least 6.0 in each component
    • PTE- overall 70 with at least 59 in each component
  • must not have studied or worked for one (academic) year or more in a developed country
  • must be unable to pay themselves or through their families for the study
