Scholarship Overview

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is awarded for pursuing MSc Biotechnology at University of the West of Scotland. A student can get a maximum amount of GBP 17250 and the scholarship amount will be given one time only. The scholarship amount can be used for paying tuition, living, travel and airfare. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their 12th grade and also possess a Bachelor degree. In order to apply for the scholarship, students need the following documents: LOR and Official Transcripts.

Eligibility

Applicants meet the following criteria:

• Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status from an eligible Commonwealth country* or be a British Protected Person
• Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
• Be available to start your academic studies in the UK, by the start of the UK academic year in Septembe
• Hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) standard
• Not have studied or worked for one (academic) year or more in a high-income country (as classified by the World Bank)
• Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship
• Applicants must hold an offer of study for the MSc
