Concordia Presidential Scholarship are awarded by the Concordia University, which supports students in its academics and research pursuits. Concordia Presidential Scholarship includes a yearly award , which can be used for the purpose of tuition,accommodation payment only. The scholarship does not include other expenses such as accommodation, living expenses, travel expenses, etc. Concordia University usually looks for candidates with a holistic profile, and not just academic excellence. This scholarship is available to students from all countries. As for the academic eligibility criteria, candidates are expected to have 12th that can prove an academically excellent backgroun. Eligibility

Qualifcation requirements:

  • Applicants must have passed high school 
  • Applicants must hold Higher School Certificate or Intermediate Certificate or Higher Secondary Certificate or Indian School Certificate or All India Senior School Certificate or
    Pre-University Certificate
  • Applicants must meet program specific requirements 
  • English language requirements i.e TOEFL overall score 90 or higher, with a minimum combined score of 34 for speaking and writing. IELTS score of 7 or higher, no component score under 5.5 and PTE overall PTE academic score of 61 with a minimum of 46 in speaking and writing
  • Applicants must be applying to university for the first time, in their first undergraduate degree program (have no prior university credits)
  • Applicants will be studying full-time in a degree program
  • Must be an international students who will be paying the full international tuition and fee rate
  • Have applied for admission, paid the application fee, and obtained a Concordia student ID number (an 8-digit number, beginning with the number 4)

Application Process for this scholarship

  • How to nominate- Nominators must complete the nomination package and send it via email to fundingyoureducation@concordia.ca. This package must be a single PDF file including the following items:
    • Completed Nomination Form
      • A nominator should be someone who has taught or worked with the student and knows them well. It should be someone who can attest to the student’s achievements as a principal, teacher, or guidance counsellor. The nominator should be able to attest to the student’s community involvement and leadership as well as other accolades.    
    • A confidential 500–750 word limit personal statement on an institution's letterhead including a signature that demonstrates why the nominator believes the nominated student is the best candidate for the Presidential Scholarship. This statement must outline:
      • How long they have known the student
      • Their relationship to the student
      • Why they believe the student is deserving of this scholarship
      • How they feel that this student has expressed community leadership and commitment making a difference in the global community
      • How they feel that this scholarship will help the student to pursue their studies and fulfill their personal and academic aspirations.

Selection process-

  • The nominated candidate will be contacted directly in early February and will be invited to apply. 
  • Selections will be made by Concordia’s Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards Committee.
  • Recipients will be notified by email before the end of April 2023. 
  • Students who were not selected will be contacted and provided with other resources that they may explore.

Scholarship Application

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
