Application Process for this scholarship

  • The application must include:
    • an online submission
    • uploaded one letter of recommendation (from either NEIU faculty, volunteer organizations, church associations, employment supervisors)
    • uploaded one-page essay describing objectives, skills, and accomplishments, as they relate to the college major
  • The application for the following semesters will be activated 30 days before each deadline. At that time, students need to be logged into your NEIU email (Nmail) in order to complete the application

Additional Information

  • A minimum number of credit hours is required in order to maintain the scholarship:
    • full-time enrollment:12 credit hours or 9 credit hours to students doing student teaching
    • half-time enrollment: 6-11 credit hours
    • summer terms: at least 3 credit hours
  • Students may reapply and be considered for continued support from this program on a semester-by-semester basis. The complete scholarship application must be submitted for each semester that student is seeking an award
