David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship- Masters are offered at University of Waterloo to those international students who are pursuing a Masters Degree. This is a Merit Based Scholarship, which is provided to only maximum number of students, depending on the University student. David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship- Masters are valued at CAD 5000 for maximum number of students, depending on the University student who qualify from University of Waterloo. Also, the David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship- Masters is a one time tuition reducing scholarship, offered in the first year of Masters Degree only. Applications for David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship- Masters at University of Waterloo are filed separately. Along with the David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship- Masters application. The eligibility of the students to qualify for David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship- Masters would solely depend on the applicant’s admission to University of Waterloo Masters Degree, his/her aptitude for an overall contribution towards University of Waterloo community and of course the academic achievements.

Eligibility

• A student must be admitted into the first year of their program in any Faculty at Waterloo
• Students who are receiving major financial support ie. in excess of $20,000 per year are not eligible to scholarship
• International students admitted with an admission average of 80% or above will be considered

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• Priority given to students enrolled in Thesis-based programs
